That's a seller move. Lakers may claim otherwise but they just got worse. Second round picks from Denver? Do you really even need to trade for the last pick in the draft? I thought they liked this dude Bryant.

Reading that Bryant was growing upset with his playing since since AD's return.

He's great on offense (#1 TS% in the league) but he's completely lost on defense. I'm guessing they have their eyes on another player to replace him at the 5.

They will now need AD to play even more minutes when he can't handle the load he's currently getting. They aren't deep enough to let go of a useful big even one that's bad in one end of the floor. And who are they going to bring in Dwight Howard?

Actually at this point they should sign Howard if he can get out of China.

Really nice pickup for Denver IMO.

Ofc he doesnt really balance them out but rather piles on to their "winning by scoring" approach. But they needed some front court depth regardless and hes obviously got game offensively. They still have some assets they can use if they wanna try to add defensive depth to the rotation by the end of today.

I guess maybe they can get someone from the buyout market but they definitely need more size if they want AD to survive the season. Vanderbilt will get some of the minutes but who's playing the 5 when Davis is resting? I don't think they can get Dwight this season unfortunately.

I don’t think Rob is done. Might turn those picks into another trade. At least I hope:rolleyes:

this pretty much takes Lebron out of rotation for playing the 2, unless the Lakers, for who knows what reason, is extremely confident with D-lo playing the 3, and AD being healthier than I imagined.

Not bad return? There was a chance to get less?

Not gonna lie, it was always a bit odd seeing a Lakers jersey with "Bryant" on the back and not be no. 8 or 24.

I think people forget Lakers have the best scout in the NBA. Look at Jesse Buss' resume in selecting high first round and second round picks plus bringing on quality undrafted players. Almost all the high first rounders and 2nd round picks he's chosen over last 8 years are still playing in the NBA

He's already got one. Oh wait....nevermind. That's just Lebron playing defense. :lol
