Saw some grumblings on Twitter about DeRo to the Knicks for a pick or two, Reddish, and possibly another piece. DeRo is definitely an upgrade over Grimes at the SG position. Grimes coming off the bench provides the scoring need on that secondary unit that the Knicks kind of struggle with. This is why you see Barrett playing more while Randle and Brunson are on the bench.
But the question is, does DeRo make the Knicks a serious contender in the East? Top 3? I think at their current rate with their current shortened lineup, the Knicks can finish in the Top 4. I don't think there is any way they finish the season without making a move to improve this roster considering their draft capital and Reddish and Fournier and even Rose just rotting away on the bench.
