Kawhi should definitely get more criticized.
But Day-to-Dayvis deserves it more because Kawhi has one nagging injury, whereas Day-to-Dayvis had a full rainbow of injuries every new season, which suggests that he doesn't take care of his body properly. For example, last season he had all kinds of knee and ankle injuries, but this season he suddenly has this back thing that came out of nowhere. :facepalm

I think people are mostly just sad that his degenerating knee is going to cost him years of his prime. We all lose out on watching a guy who, at his best, could go toe-to-toe with the top tier players in NBA history.

As others have said in this thread, Kawhi doesn't really have stans or haters. He didn't spend enough time at the top of his game for folks to get obsessive over him. When all is said and done, he's going to be one of those guys you have to remind the next generation about. They won't believe you when you say he's was the closest approximation to MJ besides Kobe.
