Initial exams revealed "potential" torn ligaments in Holmgren's right foot, Charania reported. The 7-foot, 190-pound prospect is undergoing further evaluation to determine a timetable for his return from the injury.

Holmgren appeared to suffer the injury two minutes into a pro-am game hosted by retired NBA player Jamal Crawford at Seattle Pacific University on Saturday. Holmgren was defending Los Angeles Lakers superstar LeBron James in transition before landing awkwardly and limping to halfcourt. He did not return.

Hopefully he'll be ready when the season starts. Players like him makes watching the NBA more fun.

Seemed inevitable. Tall lanky, foot and/or knee problems.

Odds that he plays more than 60 games in a single season once in his career?

Aren't you the dude who was celebrating a kid having a bad game wishing him a terrible future, only 'cause his dad shits on your favorite player?

Before you say others have no lives, look in the mirror and after that, drink a gallon of bleach.

It's good for the Thunder, Holmgren needs to put on weight and the Thunder could get the #1 draft pick next year

Breaking: Chet Holmgren will miss the 2022-2023 season with a Lisfranc injury to his right foot.

This very well could be the case. As long as the injury doesnt prove to be a long term issue, they may be better off anyway letting him sit and add bulk for a year while they collect another lotto pick.

I see them tanking for the next two seasons anyways...They might have lotto picks for the next ten seasons
