Kobe did contradict his coach, but he was right to do so. If they don't foul the Grizzlies could literally just take a 24 second violation and the Lakers would have .2 seconds to get off a shot.

That's all-time bad coaching ... at any level. That's literally the equivalent of blatantly throwing the game.

That's literally what it was. KB obviously knew they were tanking but he still had that competitive drive in close games.
