Their teams making the finals without them is bad enough plenty, but which of the two teams will do the following to their legacies?

The biggest hit to a legacy this year was Lebron. Hands down.

At least both still can make it to the playoff

Whereas Levirgin haven’t played in the playoff yet without AD in the west

Warriors won a title without KD, Boston made the ECF without Kyrie in 2018 and it took LeBron playing out of his mind for them to not make the Finals.

I think we all knew both the Warriors & Boston were good teams without them, but Kyrie was a total failure in Boston.

Both the Celtics & Warriors are completely different from what they had outside of KD/Kyrie in 2019. Won't stop idiots like OP from shitposting though.

Sorry, it's the same core. OP's point applies.

Almost as bad as 2011

Oh wait, not even close.

Come back when KD or Kyrie get outscored by Jason Terry on the biggest stage.

2011 is the GOAT choke that will keep Bron out of the top 10. Eventually he’s going to get the Barry Bonds treatment and not even be allowed in the hall of fame.

What about losing a play-in game to a Lebron James buzzer beater 3?

2011 is far worse. A literal legacy killer.

So Curry saved his legacy by losing sooner. :lol Must be an MJ fan

A Klay-less 33 year-old Curry exposed himself last season, failing to make the playoffs over an all-starless team whose best player by far was a 21 year-old.

If Curry loses he will have 3 finals losses. That means it was better to not make the playoffs :lol

If Tatum loses he will join Butler and Barkley as 0-1 in the finals and it was better to lose in game 7 for legacy purposes.

Legacy hits from least to worst hits

Anthony Davis - is going to have to make major changes when he returns
Chris Paul - will never overtake Curry in PG rankings
James Harden - has established himself as a team killer
Kevin Durant - can never make the top ten list
Russell Westbrook - fell out of the top 75(6) with this season.

Legacy hits from smallest gains to biggest

Carmelo Anthony - still showed he's not done and has value as a sixth man, might outlast Russ at this point
Giannis - taking a big step into the next best player from his generation
Curry - Putting himself up there with the all-timers and moving away from his contemporaries (Leonard, Durant)
Jimmy Butler - Made the hall of fame and top 75 this year
Luka Doncic - He's on pace to be a top ten all-timer and the new face of the NBA

No change
Jokic - won an MVP still lost his playoff series badly
Embiid - likely needs to get out of Philly
Kyrie - last year was a tailspin
Lebron - put up great numbers and his legacy is rock solid
Trae - this was a nothing season for him
