Yet in Philly everyone was calling him a bum and washed. Philly seems incompetent :biggums:

He barely even made 1 FG today. A role player who looks good because he's next to superstar Tatum

That's a very interesting question, i was wondering that too. He also wasnt this good in OKC. Celtics are one of the best run franchises along with Warriors and Heat.

lol that Philly team had no spacing. Even Embiid looked like a bum.

Giannis is gonna make him look washed again. I remember what he did to them boys in 2019.

He’s a good defensive center, knows his role and doesn’t try to do more than what he’s asked to

Plus the nets are really small

Giannis isn’t doing shit against this defense.

Horford was a great addition to their well rounded team.

We are glad to get danny green back for that bum....and we know his deep dark weakness from him being on our team.....that oompa loompa cant stop centers who catch lobs....Deandre is gonna feast on him....the only time we will actually use that bum

:oldlol:

Imagine actually putting that washed, low IQ bum, who couldn't guard the perimeter in his athletic prime to guard Horford, who is shooting 50%+ from behind the 3 point line on 5+ 3 point attempts so far these playoffs.
Horford would be looking like another Celtic used to look in a 3 point contest...

Horford failed in Philly because can't play next to another center.

He was fine playing next to Robert Williams all year.

Horford biggest weakness is rebounding.

I remember tristan thompson would bully the shit out of him.

Giannis is averaging 32/13/8 and that's with him missing looks that he usually makes. Not having his 2nd option there to space the floor makes it much easier for Boston to defend him. I obviously made my post before we knew that Khris would miss the entire series.

Good on Horford for shooting lights out from 3 when he's been a mediocre shooter all his career. He better keep making them.

Horford shoots 36% from 3 for his career, far from mediocre for a center, and a higher % than either Jokic or Embiid.

He was legitimately given $27 million a year by Elton Brand to shoot threes and be a third option from the perimeter because Simmons would not shoot a basketball.

I think generally it is misguided that he was disliked in Philly. Anyone who played close attention to the team realized that he was just asked to do too much in an often uncomfortable role.

He shot it 33.6% this year in the RS and is now shooting 53.5% in the Playoffs on much higher volume. He didn't make a single 3 for Philly the last time he was in the POs in 2020. He shot it well for a couple runs with the Celtics so it's not a first, but to do it at this volume is just ridiculous for him. He's made 23 threes in 8 Playoff games. He made 89 threes in 69 RS games this year.

No.

That 20-22 footer, especially from the top of the key, was his specialty early on. So money.

It's expanded out a little bit more and it still streaky but he's liable to have game where he hits.

He's taking 28.5 shots a game and 11 FTs a game to average 32 PPG. Shooting 44% FG, 13% from 3 and 61% FT in the process. Far from making Horford look washed tbh.

Like I said, I made my post before Middleton was going to miss the entire series. Much easier to load up on Giannis when the Bucks are missing their best floor-spacer, and even then he's putting up 32/13/8.

Celtics are comfortable with using Horford in a dribble drive role because their perimeter players have always been preached about the importance of transition defense

Why am I not surprised a Kobe fan is sneakily ignoring efficiency numbers?
