Jerry Stackhouse averaged 29.8 ppg when he played for the Pistons. Some of us thought JS was better than Richard Hamilton who eventually became an NBA champion and multiple time all stars with Detroit. Jordan traded him after playing with him for one season.

Im so nba'd out

Jordan saw what everybody else would eventually figure out...Jerry Stackhouse was OVERRATED.

After leaving Detroit, he never again made an all-star team.

2 All-Star appearances in 19 years....meh

How can you see the 29.8 ppg and not notice the 39% beside it? It was the worst "elite" scoring in NBA history. Stack was always a far inferiorvolume scorer. His last series in Detroit he got destroyed by Paul Pierce on both ends of the floor. Not a great player and not a particularly good fit alongside Jordan either. MJ was a great player but a horrible GM.

The three big reasons

1. Drafting Kwame Brown over Pau Gasol
2. Jordan retiring when Gilbert Arenas came in
3. Jordan not taking a 2nd or 3rd option role in his late thirties/forties.

SF - Jordan
PF -Gasol
C - Haywood
PG - Arenas
SG - Stackhouse
6th - Laetner

"Why did the Jordan and Stackhouse duo failed?"

Because Jordan was a ball hogging, chucker that never evolved past being a 1-dimensional score only player.

No Pip...

Weak cast and bad chemistry along with Stack not being that good. Jordan also thought he was still a superstar with his huge ego when in reality he fell into being a Paul Pierce level chucker in those years even when healthy.

Dang Lou, I thought you were younger for some reason.

You're up there around Bron's age

Still better than "4/10" Brony. Don't cry.

Bigger question is why didn't MJ and Larry Hughes work

Or why Richard Hamilton was holding up an NBA championship trophy two seasons after he left Jordan?

Jordan had one of the worst TS% ever for someone with his volume or 20+ ppg iirc

I guess it's not a very relevant/revealing stat, then. And the fact that Bird's is even lower than Jordan's (as you claim Jordan's to be one of the worst) confirms as much.
