Absolutely. The league became out of control the last 5 years with every star putting up ATG production.

I'm in favor of the new rules. You shouldn't get a free pass to the foul line by jumping into a defender.

Yea for sure. This season the NBA is way better to watch.

Yes it's way better. Hopefully they don't cave to the few soft millennials that are crying about it.

No ones trying to watch a pickup game with no D.

They will soon go back to letting stars jump into perfectly positioned defenders for 3 free throws.

This

The pendulum will continue to swing in the direction of allowing more defensive pressure I believe. The product is just more fun when there’s a good balance

We'll see if they maintain it. Last year was an absolute joke allowing Giannis to walk his way to the free throw line

Emphatic yes! I'm loving this season so far. And this also vindicates those of us who were saying that the offensive stats of the last decade or so were very inflated.

No because it makes harder for my LeGOAT to rack up stats.

Obviously yes though, it's a much better product and the games are faster because of less FTs.

I love seeing players who were heavily dependent on soft rules not have as much success (Trae, Harden, Lillard, etc). Just imagine how they would struggle in the late 80's/early 90's with full physicality, fights, hand checking, no spacing, no 3 second, etc.

Multiple ongoing banal buzzer beaters from long range no more, i guess. :(

Man a million times yes. The league was way out of balance and this has seemed to bring things back from the brink.

The only people who would say no are people who are super fans of players getting exposed.

Bottom line, people aren’t going to take the product seriously if you turn it into a no defense allowed joke — and that’s about where it had been.

I like it when bigs who can pass makes a difference. this way, at least there's something to watch after a time out.
