Just based off their best season - I'm curious most of all of where you guys position Derrick Rose who as we know had an MVP season followed by that injury that made him 2/3rds of his peak or less from there forward.

I think as far as "who was better overall" my list might go like this:

Iverson
Rose
Thomas
Stockton
CP3
Nash

But I really have trouble positioning these small guards who often play so differently

Anyone who puts Derrick Rose over Zeke have never watched Zeke play at his prime, let alone his peak or the pre-Bad Boy era.

For me, Isiah takes this one a bit over AI. BECAUSE Zeke for all intents and purposes could be Stock and AI in ONE PACKAGE!! Zeke was a pass first PG who could ALSO dominate games scoring consistently. Alpha dog cred FOR SURE! Every bit the floor general Stockton was. BUT had the handles, toughness, speed, and alpha dog scoring ability like AI. BUT a prime Nash run in this era would be ABSOLUTELY devastating! When it comes to shooting, passing, and handles as a package, Nash is in the top 3 with Curry and Price! And as a far as a pure floor general, Nash is in the top 5 all time!

Stockton is definitely last like no doubt about it. The rest is kind of tough because they are different players so I went by overall impact. Zeke is the most proven, led great offenses, won multiple titles. Nash is next because top 2 ORtg for nine straight seasons. He just did work elevating teams that no one else could match. Paul > AI > Rose just seems right. I don't think I'm underrating Rose. Those AI Sixers and Rose Bulls were built on defense so those guys did less to lift their teams than Paul. AI > Rose because he scored more and was tougher to contain. He was a more experienced player. I do think if Rose never got hurt he could have had a hell of a career. Rose was basically a smarter Westbrook.

1. Iverson
2. Zeke (This man has 4 20/10 seasons compared to 2 for CP3)
3. CP3
4. Nash (Despite his 2 MVPs) I have CP3 ranked ahead of him
5. Stockton
6. Rose (Peak too short) His best season he won MVP and only averaged 25 ppg 7.7 apg on 44% FG and 33% from 3pt. Whoever has him top 4 is absolutely crazy. Like, please use your damn head.

Shut your punk ass up. What exactly peak CP3 has accomplished? Did he reach a conference final, did he win something? Not even a MVP.

Get the fk outta here with CP3.

I feel like unless u were from midwest and older millenial..no one knows how good zeke was.

If u take magic Johnson away from pg..zeke is best all time after him.

Dude was fast quick slick great handle great floor general and could do anything while playing pesky defense.

Honestly, I might even like your list more than mine. Iverson's peak was unbelievable.

Definitely Rose third.

And then you can mix up the bottom three any way you like.

You don't even play basketball. What's your criteria for judging player abilities. You don't know how to read a play or detect a developed skill if it isn't narrated to you by ESPN or tracked on basketball reference so STFU.

Really even if only talking peak here? Just his 1 season of peak still counts as a peak the way I was formulating my list at least, can't speak for the others. He was incredible that season. Sure he's got a much shorter and less impressive stretch of "prime" though than basically all the other guys.

Stockton in his peak was at 17ppg 14asts 3spg on godly shooting/efficiency. His numbers pretty much could compete with anyone on that list.

1.Rose...peak wasn't long, but it was elite

The rest it can be argued what team you have and what do you need. If you need a PG that can score, Iverson and Nash. If you need a true PG, team quarterback, Paul and Stockton. If you need a little bit of both Thomas.

Me personally I'm going 1.Rose 2.CP3 3.Nash 4.Iverson 5.Thomas 6.Stockton

The man won MVP averaging 25 ppg 7 apg. LeBron should have been MVP.

Maybe if he averaged 29 and 11, and had a much better jumper. I was never big on Rose.

Stockton actually played defense so yes at his peak he's twice the player Nash was

By this logic Embiid is also better than Jokic, yet most fans would rank Jokic ahead of him. Not to mention being a good defender as a point guard doesn't really transform your team on the defensive end, and Stockton was far from being GP or Kidd on the defensive end.

Nash was so superior to Stockton on the offensive end that it's pretty much a no brainer in who the better player was at their peak. Nash transformed teams into title contenders as the best player on his team, winning back to back MVPs, even led his team to the WCF at age 35, Stockton never got to that level.

My Top 3 would be CP3, Zeke and Iverson

Rose is tough, he never reached his peak but the best we saw of him was exceptional. He just knew how to win and stepped up in the biggest moments. However these other guys had more time to polish their games that Rose didn’t (Imagine pre-injury Rose with his current shooting ability. He’d have easily amassed a HOF-worthy career by now)

Stockton and Nash I think are pretty close.

Yeah Nash being one of the worst defenders ever at his position shouldnt really matter lol.

He led contenders regardless and GOAT offenses that were one bogus suspension away from champions.

You may as well say Gary Payton > Magic or Rasheed Wallace > Dirk.
