View Full Version : Lebron was locked up by Iggy, while Kobe did this to Iggy...

According to Iggy, Kobe promised him 50 and then gave it to him:
https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=BAHpkkjDzwI&t=15s
So Kobe would've been attracting double-teams to free up teammates in the 15' Finals, while Lebron's jumper almost never pops off, so Kerr could stay at home on Lebron and shut everyone down.

Lebron's Cavs missed the 09' and 10' Finals as the league favorite, so Lebron avoided Kobe... That's why Lebron formed super-teams - it was because he couldn't win the weak East without one in 09' and 10'... If he beats Dwight as expected in 09', Lebron never forms super-teams.. Unfortunately, Lebron can't win with high scoring because it's too ball-dominant (09' ECF) or too inefficient at high volume (15' Finals)

Lebron is the only 1st option in history that shot 35% in a playoff series and only Lebron lost series because he shot poorly:
2007 Finals... 35%
2008 ECSF.... 35%
2015 Finals... 39%
Jordan never lost series from shooting poorly - only Lebron did... :dancin:
Btw, Kobe's 32 on 50% swept the 08' Spurs

PLEASE TELL US SOMETHING WE DON'T ALREADY KNOW. KOBE IS THE BETTER ONE-ON-ONE PLAYER. HE HAS THE OFFENSIVE ARSENAL LEBRON DOESN'T.
Now, since basketball is not a one-on-one game, the "LeBron is better than Kobe as a basketball player" argument still applies here.

That’s a weakness of his. Everyone knows it. I’m not sure if it’s him being a narcissist and needing the glory or being a control freak who lacks trust. Either way...it happened.

He legit had one great finals and it was against the Nets with prime Shaq as first option. Every other finals he tossed up bricks and got bailed out by teammates. I’m glad Snivelly is finally ready to try and argue Kobe vs. LeBron should be fun :lol

Well in 07 Kobe didn't have the team makeup around him to contend he was a solo act on the Lakers that year. In 11-13 well 2011 Dirk went super saiyan mode on entire NBA throughout the playoffs including Miami in the Finals Lebron had one of worst choke jobs in NBA history in 2011. Kobe late prime ended after 2010 he had a great bounce back year in 13 before tearing his achilles he lead that Lakers team to the playoffs that year Dwight, Nash, Gasol missed so many games that year due to injury. Kobe was playing like top 5 player in 2013 he gets a lot of credit for that season it was very impressive considering it was his 17th season.

imagine not giving the mvp to me after i hit 10+ game winning shots in 2013 and dragged an injured squad to the playoffs then tore my achilles after an MVP performance vs golden state to make the playoffs officially. hitting clutch free throws on one leg.
and instead giving it to some guy on a big 4 miami team that didn't even have to play for the heat to make the finals that year
what exactly is the definition of value to your team if one team absolutely depends on you 100% and the other team doesn't even need you unless they're playing sanantonio

lebron has skill but no real accomplishments cause he cheated to get them through fake teams and fake muscles
he should realistically be banned like pete rose for life for his manipulation of drug policies and tampering
kobe never won a title during a fake season with fake teammates or suspensions. he never got linked to a steroid clinic either. lebron is great but he has so much cheating tied to all his accomplishments. hes like barry bonds basically
nobody respects bonds. we know he was great even without the roids and i'm sure lebron would have had a good career without all his crap. but not one where hes still getting his head above the rim in year 19 and playing with his 3rd big 3 on a 3rd different team

Kobe has one of the most well-documented, blatant blood doping schemes in NBA history when he went to Germany for his "knee treatment". This was when he was 34. And he never came close to winning again.
LeBron won his 4th Finals MVP on his 3rd team in 2 conferences at the age of 35 in a bubble that nobody, let alone a steroid provider, was allowed to enter.
Kobe was one slightly more stubborn Charlotte Hornets GM away from having a career no different than Tracy McGrady.

No speculation. We know for a fact that what Kobe did in 2013 when he went to Germany was blood doping.
You can keep talking about LeBron and Miami all you want with zero factual evidence. Meanwhile, Kobe spent his entire career in a city where this takes place:

Nope because there's only been 1 first option that shot 35% in a playoff series - Lebron - and he did it twice
Lebron simply can't beat good teams with high scoring because his high scoring is too inefficient and ball-dominant... He needed to average 33 on 50% to beat those Spurs but simply wasn't on that level.. He shoots poorly at the additional jumpshooting required of carry-job volume

But Lebron is westbrooking, so his efficiency is offset by weaker team strategy, which allows kobe's teams to come out ahead overall and have better teams/Finals records.

Westbrooking has always been successful in the entertainment regular season when opponents are flying into town one night and out the next (zero adjustments), but Westbrooking loses in the playoffs even with a smarter, 6'9" Westbrooker like Lebron - he lost to 1-star teams with 1 seeds (09') and super-teams (11')
TLDR: inferior strategy (westbrooking) loses regardless of who is employing it (lebron)

Payton is 2 inches shorter than Jordan, while Iggy is 3 inches shorter than Lebron, and Lebron was doubled 5% of the time (https://i.makeagif.com/media/3-22-2019/6e5aBZ.gif), versus 50% for MJ:
The youtube channel "Nobody Touches Jordan" did a video of Payton guarding MJ in Game 4 of 1996 Finals (link here (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lgFWyLRNsGk)) - MJ was doubled exactly 10 of the 20 times he caught the ball with Payton guarding - all 10 double-teams are shown if gifs here:
http://www.insidehoops.com/forum/showpost.php?p=11792377&postcount=161
Finally, the 96' Finals were Jordan's worst and therefore must be compared to Lebron's worst, and the 07' or 11' Finals are far below Jordan's 1996 ring... So are all the Finals Lebron lost..
And the 13' Finals were horrible because Lebron averaged 16 on 39% thru 3 games as teammates staved off an 0-3 deficit, while his 23 on 43% thru 6 games was insufficient and needed Allen to force Game 7 - he was also a zero plus/minus and negative net rating for the series, so the Heat didn't win with Lebron on the floor.
Klay and Dray hold MJ to what? A pedestrian 23 on 35%
The 1991 (http://tinypic.com/view.php?pic=qpikcz&s=8#.V_L49-ArLIW) and 1992 (http://tinypic.com/view.php?pic=iwox8i&s=8#.VI_7OSvF_Ck) Philadelphia 76'er media guides show that Majerle got 70 dunks in 1991, and 72 dunks in 1992 (top 10% of the league) - this is far more than Klay's career high of 21 dunks in 2015.
Majerle's higher dunk total occurred when league-wide dunk frequency was lower, as shown here (http://insidehoops.com/forum/showpost.php?p=12555171&postcount=86) (1 dunk every 23.8 shots in 1992, compared to 1 every 22.6 shots in 2014).
CONCLUSION: since jordan averaged 41 and 36 against Majerle/Drexler, he would average 50+ against Klay.. And Dray is a fat boy that would never even be put on Jordan for a single possession

Iggy locked down Durant in 2016 as well. The only one who dominated Iggy was Kawhi in 2019 finals when he had 60% TS, 122 offensive rating, had a higher GmSc then both lebron's title miami wins.

So lets get this straight, kawhi not only won finals mvp over miami but he also won another finals mvp in 2019 that had a higher gamescore then any lebron miami 2012\13 finals wins??

2013 was Duncan's chance to win finals mvp and he blew it in game 7 when he missed a wide open layup
2020 kawhi led all players in gmsc and it was inside a prison bubble with no fans, lack of help from George
A finals mvp against heat LeBron and then Raptors kawhi surpassing heat LeBron in finals gmsc is everything, nothing else matters after that
