Am I Crazy in thinking LBJs game 1 performance in 2018 is more impressive than Kobe vs Toronto?

Obviously 81 is one of the greatest volume scoring performance we’ve ever seen. But a meaningless game in January vs a team who lost 55 games that had nothing past a 3rd year Chris Bosh surely isn’t anywhere near as impressive as 51/8/8 in a finals vs 4 All-NBA caliber players.

Literally nobody would consider the 81 better

Tatum’s 60pts vs the Spurs in the biggest comeback ever is more impressive than both

Kobe's Finals career high in the Finals is what, 37 or some shit? :oldlol:

Tatum has a 50pt game in the playoffs already. Did Kobe ever have one? Can’t recall

LBJ has 8 finals game with more points than Kobe ever scored in a finals. And that’s without factoring in running an offence. Kobe truly underperformed in the post season.

Kobe was definitely better. Lebron lost with HCA 3x and Kobe 2x.

No one tries to stop LeBron from scoring as hard as kobe that 51 is equivalent to about 35 points from kobe so 81>>>>>

With Kobe, you have to consider that this was during the time he was just jacking shots. Toronto was the worst defensive team in the league and Kobe statpad 10-20 points at the end of the game when it was already out of reach.

61>51

Imagine if Kobe played in their conference.

if lebron got the win and also the title then MAYBE but he choked/quit the game and the series soooo... 81 >>>>>> 49 in regulation with the L/OT choke 0 for 4 quit job

Kobe 62 > Kobe 81

Kobe 62 > Kobe 81

personally i say his final game dropping 60 with the huge comeback and go ahead game winning shot is his best game. there was really only 2 easy baskets. the rest were long contested jumpers and he almost shot 50%. then he had to basically hit every single shot in the last 5 minutes including insane fall away threes. it was like a babe ruth called shot homerun

the pressure to be great was monumental and he was basically a shell of his former self. its like he recaptured that mamba mentality after the bad start. when that first shot went down it was classic kobe

He actually dropped 40 in game 1 during 2009 to set the tempo and beat the team LeBron couldn't beat

In Lebron's 51 point game he didn't know he had a timeout remaining in regulation, then acted like a bitch on the bench when told him they had one TO left, and then quit in OT. 81>51

I would say LeBron if he didn't quit on his team in overtime

Carrying vs Toronto who finished with 55 loses and had a third year Chris Bosh as their only good player, vs LBJ facing Curry/KD/Klay/Draymond/Iggy.

Imagine.

A lot of bad shots by lebron in the OT. What were his stats in the OT?
