The 2015 Heat missed Wade/Bosh for 40 games, but only missed the playoffs by 1/2 game... Then they nearly won the 2016 conference finals - so they were fine without Lebron.

And the 2018 Cavs lost Kyrie - that killed the franchise... Then they lost Love the next year to injury, which was the nail in the coffin.
