Lebron wouldn't take that shot though. He'd have called an ISO for Harden or drove & kicked it out to Harris for a 3 and lived with it.

Better than the Kobe way...clank a terrible shot with four defenders draped all over you while your teammates are wide open.

Is it, if those guys can't hit a wide open shot to save their lives?

I'm starting to wonder if stephen curry was responsible for teaching kd this. Some shades throw us back in game 6 of 2019 finals, where he also missed a desperate game-winning shot. His eighth unlucky attempt during a crucial moment in a do-or-die game. :(

He has made most gamewinners in NBA playoff history.... yes he will most often unselfishly make the correct play at the end of the game, doesnt mean "he wouldnt take that shot"... and making the correct play in that situation would most often exclude Harden imo, Lebron most definitely wouldnt want an ISO for Harden, not in playoffs, not when it matters (maybe in a desperate situation when Harden is also wideopen), that guy shoots worse than Lebron from range (in the playoffs) and is a notorious playoff choker (just always gets exposed in the playoffs, just like Westbrook).......

Harris or any other pure shooter being wide open would be a much better choice... even over Durant, players like KD/Lebron/Jordan etc. get the ball in those situations because they are best at creating shots for them or others, but who has the highest % of making the shot is simply the guy who has the % of making the shot... thats why its foolish to deny the wideopen Steve Kerr's, the Ray Allen's, the Harris's...

Those type of shooters make like 100 3's in a row in practice, they shoot 5000-10000 shots, while everybody else takes the time to work on something else THEY DONT, they are specialists... they would beat Jordan, Durant or Lebron BLINDFOLDED in a shootout.... in your backyard or with 1 sec left in a Game 7.... shooting % is shooting %, especially when wideopen...

Great post. Also, OP is correct in his point about reactionary LeBron haters.

That Durant shot was flat out HORRIBLE though. Get a screen, let Harden flop or something instead of just putting your head down and continuing forward while your defender is all over you like a rash.

Don’t disagree with the idea but don’t act like you weren’t clowning lebron after he had 50 in a finals loss.

In that moment he tried to go str8 hero ball and go for the win, and not go for the tie from 10 feet closer in over the shorter defender. Maybe he was just tired and said **** it, if he got the tie he wouldn't have anything left for another OT ( 53 minute playtime).

LeBron wouldn't have ever made that shot from behind at the end of regulation. Kyrie and Ray made those shots for him. And AD last year vs the Nuggets in the WCFs.

LeBron passed it to George hill when he could've sealed the deal himself with an Iso on a 6'2 Curry on him at the FT line basically. Durant hit a shot that if not for his pinky toe being on the line would have been a game 7 walk off HR.

A million things had to go wrong for the nets to lose... Role players all choking, 2 star players hurt and out, and a half inch away from a walk off. Bad luck pure and simple.

Joe Harris missed wide open jumpers all series long. Including that wide open one with a minute left in OT. You have no clue what you're talking about thinking a red hot KD isn't the better option even contested.

True. These guys nowadays have their minutes far more heavily managed. it's amazing that KD was even playing that much because it's not like he's had close to a full season to build the stamina.

Durant passed it to Harden in that sequence.. Harden gave it right back because he wanted none of it, and why should he after playing 50+ minutes on a bad hamstring? KD was their best option, even against an All-NBA defender like Jrue. He had such a huge size advantage, so it's not like Jrue could even properly contest the shot without fouling him. KD happened to miss, and that's that. The game-tying shot on Tucker was much more difficult too, but people didn't call it horrible because he made it.

Lol, Durant came running straight to Harden after the pass, he asked for it, if Harden had kept it, he‘d have called Durant off, which he would have gotten killed for, including by you.

Damned if you do, damned if you don‘t.

I remember the scenario. I also remember, as you do, someone playing an absolute masterful basketball game.

The Bucks need to make some adjustments though. I don’t know that they’ll beat either team that wins tonight if they don’t. Just saying.

They'll easily beat the sixers, suns, and clippers without kawhi. Embiid likely will get hurt, and who trusts a suns team? They're nice talent wise but Chris Paul is their only veteran leader and he's the most likely to get hurt.

Giannis can't get hurt with all them roids he's on looking like a light skinned Ronnie Coleman. :lol barrelling his way through to the rim with closers like Middleton and jrue who iced the Nets in the 4th quarter and OT.

I said it before the bucks +900 odds were a steal.
