I want everyone on the board to refrain from posting new threads or responding to current ones, for one whole minute starting right now.

When we return to activity, the mods will set up private threads with certified grief counselors available for any posters who need to have a talk and have a cry about everything Steph lost tonight, which includes his entire legacy as a superstar.

Losing "play in games" and missing the playoffs in the prime of your career is a major psychological trauma, to a player AND his stans. We aren't gonna kick people while they're down over this. We're gonna be EMPATHY. This is bigger than basketball. This is mental health. ISH is a family. We're here for each other.

Moment of silence right now, and then EMPATHY when we return. Let's do it boys.

Garnett missed the playoffs three or four straight years in his prime.

I will say though, this does expose him as a top ten GOAT candidate. He just isn't good enough to be that level.

Could you imagine a prime Shaq team miss the playoffs? Prime Duncan? Bird/Magic/LeBron/Hakeem/Jordan etc?

Curry had a peak season individually and it resulted in enough impact to miss out on the playoffs.

There's levels to this. He can have his top 15-20 ATG spot. He fits with those guys. He isn't top ten ATG material.

Makes the Lakers beating them seem like not a very big achievement, huh?

Curry is 33 years old. :kobe: Some of the guys you mentioned got injured and their teams still made the Playoffs. This wasn't Steph's peak statistical season. Kareem missed the Playoffs in his prime, as did Wilt & Kobe.

100%

healthy durant, kawhi, lebron in their prime would have been eviscerated by the media for missing the playoffs. this is worse than blowing 3-1 on a 73 win team

Out of the four that were listed, he's the only one to do so without a finals mvp in his resume.

Curry sucks

I'll take Lillard and even trae young over this kid. And several others

He's anti clutch, low iq, and one dimensional. He's really bad

Missing the playoffs in back to back seasons during your prime should be automatic disqualify from top 25 GOAT

nah **** that shit, you know how many people would go ahead and say if you gave curry the reins to be the first option on a team with no help he’d go off and lead his team to the playoffs? :lol

not only did all of that scoring only lead to an 8 seed (which was celebrated like crazy for whatever reason) he couldn’t even win two games to get the team into the playoffs :lol **** outta here, FRAUD.
