West is tougher. They could make the play in at least in the east. Zion Williamson is the real deal and if they are any good as a front office they should be able to put a playoff team together next year. Hopefully won't be repeating the AD experience.

they need a veteran all-star to pair with Zion and Ingraham.

They know they are not ready to compete w the big boys yet.

Zion ever learns how to play defense he’ll surpass AD
It's not just about learning. Athletic as he is he won't be a major shot blocker because he's not long. Similarly although quick for someone his size he doesn't have the elite quickness to stay with small guards. With strong effort his athletic ability could make him a defender but as an athlete.he reminds me.of Barkley and Blake Griffin, more raw power but similar and those guys didn't ever become good defenders.

He could surpass Davis but I doubt it because he only dominates offensively. At best he will be a solid defender and rebounder, doesn't look like he will be special in either area. Great offensively though.
