View Full Version : What if Durant goes his whole career never winning a playoff series without an MVP?

How can you even be a top 25 player ever if you never won a playoff series without an MVP teammate? People get on Jordan for depending on Pippen who had 1 season as a top 5 MVP candidate. Durant is way worse, he depends on teammates who have actually won the MVP (curry, Westbrook).
We thought things were going to change when he went to Brooklyn. What does he do? Trade for James Harden. Now, he's setting himself up for never winning a playoff series without an MVP winner (curry, harden, Westbrook) for his entire career!

Top 3 is cute. Durant played with 3 different MVP award winners and still ending up with 4 less rings.
Let that sink in.

I am not a Durant, but this thread makes no sense. He has played his whole career with an MVP teammate, therefore it is impossible for him to win a series without an MVP teammate.

OP is easily one of the biggest pieces of shit on this board, basically 3ball-light. He talked shit ALL last year constantly and even said he would leave this board if Kawhi lost last year...and he's still here spamming the worse threads.
What a waste of life.

Kawhi is Durant level of parachuting into stacked teams.
Drafted into playing with MVP winner Duncan.
Traded to a 60 win team without that team losing any pieces.
Joined a 48 win playoff team with PG.
Kawhi might rival Durant in terms of career easiness.

KD made it worse. He looked at what Lebron did in MIA and tried to do the same thing, but worse. Then again that is what precedence does. You plant an idea, a seed in someone’s mind and it propagates.

That's the point, his whole career is a joke.
First he played the role of Harrison Barnes.
Now he's playing the role of Kevin Love.

Kevin Durant is easily one of the biggest pieces of shit in the NBA, basically lebron james-light in how he plays on stacked teams. He never won shit ALL his career and then ran to a 73 team win team. Even to this day, he has never won a playoff series without an MVP on his team.
What a waste of life.
I wouldn't be that harsh on Durant but yeah that was basically what i was trying to get at.

Spurs from 2009-2011 (the 3 years leading into drafting Kawhi) were never even a top 3 SRS team. 2011 the year before drafting Kawhi, spurs were eliminated by an 8th seed in the 1st round. So that's like me saying, Wade won a finals MVP in 2006? How come you can't win him in 2014? You see how stupid that is?
Raptors in 2018 were on a good regular season team because Derozan is a very good regular season player. They were still swept in the 2nd round. This year the title core of Lowry\Vanvleet\Siakam are all getting major minutes and they have a 10-12 record.

Will you go a day without trying to bring other players down to prop up your guy? :biggums: give it a rest buddy.

How can you even be a top 25 player ever if you never won a playoff series without an MVP teammate? How can you watch basketball games and never gain the ability to evaluate talent?

If it was Kawhi, they would. People have double standards for Kawhi and Durant. If Durant brought a title to raptors, he would be worshipped as the GOAT.
Quite frankly, it's disgusting how they treat Kawhi. My theory is because his hair and they think he's an Allen Iverson type guy, so racists white guys are always down playing Kawhi. Jordan and Durant are just bald black dudes, so white guys don't feel threatened by them. On top of that, LeBron fans don't like that Kawhi dominated LeBron in 2014. So you combine the racist white guys and LeBron fans, it translates to Kawhi being criminally underrated.

Maybe its because of Kawhi’s persona. He gravitates the same fans who are not loud. No need to worship and shit like that. See Duncan. He doesn’t have stans spamming these boards.
Lebron on the other hand. Fake hair, artificial achievements through superteams. Lebron flops a lot and does not acknowledge it. So do his stans. They mimick what Lebron says and does.

Lebron couldn't even win with Shaq while both Wade and Kobe did. Lebron also has won bronze medals even with Tim Duncan, Wade, Bosh, Dwight on his squad.

Kawhi won finals MVP playing worst than LeBron did in 2011 / 2007. That's how stacked the Spurs were.
Kawhi might tie Iguodala as the worst performing finals MVP winner ever in 2014. Literally giving it to a player that was 3rd best in the series.
Raptors were on 60 win pace without Kawhi last season after losing him and didn't add any new pieces.
Kawhi then goes on Load Management on the Clippers and gets his shit pushed by Brian Windhorst.
Kawhi is a lot like Magic Johnson luck wise. Drafted to all time great team with top 5 all time player, gifted all time great coaches, golden parachuted into great teams.
Durant is up there with Kawhi in terms of career easiness:
Drafted into team that had massive OKC talent.
Played with MVP in his prime westbrook.
Joined 73 win Warriors.
Joined Brooklyn and surrounded by another MVP in his prime Harden + Kyrie.
I can't pick which player had the easier free way career.
If Kawhi was drafted to Cleveland in 2004 like LeBron Kawhi would be out of the league within a few years.
Op talks about mvp because kawhit still has none nowadays. Sheesh.

Your blow up doll is losing air in the closet, better go take care of her, prom is just around the corner....stop trying to throat Kawhi, by trying to shade other players. He doesn't need your help, obviously he took personality class from you, and look what that got him...all people do by starting these threads is prove what a lame they are....put as much effort in your life and maybe you could win at the only game that counts.

Westbrook is arguably the worst 2nd option in NBA history
Durant carried them deep in the playoffs every year, he achieved more than just about any other player in history could've with those horrible rosters.
This is the reality
