Coach Nash says he just found out about Kyrie not playing - and has since sent him a text (no response yet.

As for KD, the NBA has told him that if he continues to test negative he can play SUNDAY. #Nets

It might be an important reason, someone sick in his family. You never know.
I will wait for Kyrie's explanation.

It's a back to back, so Irving is sitting out. What's the confusion about? Now that Kawhi is done with load management, Irvin\Durant have now become the face of load management. It makes sense for Irving because he's the most injury prone star in the league, the only one who comes close is Embiid.

I'm pretty sure it's load management. Although I remember NBA releasing a statement that you can't rest players on national TV games this season, so we'll see if nets get fined.

They should trade him for Harden. Both are pain in the ass primadonnas so you might as well get the better one.

Maybe Nash is thinking "if you're going to load manage then you pick the grizzles without ja morant. Not 7-1 eastern rival you idiot"

There's a strategy to load management, doesn't seem like Irving cares

Nevermind, its not load management. Irving is just being a terrible leader and leaving his team dry with no Durant hahahah

Joe Vardon is reporting that a source close to Kyrie Irving says that Irving is OK but didn't know when he might return from the personal leave he's taking on Thursday night.
Steve Nash has said he doesn't know what the issue is with Irving and he did not hear back from Kyrie after reaching out for him. Hopefully, everything is all right with Irving and he'll be back for Sunday's game against the Thunder. But it sounds like there's a decent chance that he could miss that one, too.

Why are some of y'all so melodramatic?

Kyrie is doing nothing wrong.

Relax.

Also, Harden isn't injury prone and doesn't load manage.

It’s just basketball I guess. Imagine a doctor who won’t take his job seriously because he feels like he’s already done enough.

Classic overreaction.

Everything will be fine.

Everything will be fine.

"Everything will be fine" has the same certainty as Kyrie playing in the next game.
