Obviously career goes to KD due to longevity but who's the better player in their primes?

Durant

Durant. I don’t think wade even at his prime was the complete scorer Durant is.

Durant by a mile

Wade. What he did in 06 trump's Durant's front running.

Still it is Durant, Wade peaked at few years but Durant is the better scorer.

I'm taking peak Wade over peak Durant. Sure, KD could score 32 PPG but Wade wasn't too far behind. Wade could give you better defense, better passing, and score 30 PPG himself. Wade's 2006 finals performance was one of the greatest of all time.

Gotta go with KD. Once KD's all around game became very good, it put him on another level as a player. No knock on D Wade BECAUSE he was the total package in terms of scoring-rebounding-passing-defending his position. Just that KD being a 7 footer, being one of the top 10 shooters who has ever lived, and having arguably the best scoring skillset of all time swings it his way. Only SG's u could take over KD are MJ and Mamba. So it's KD's uniqueness at 7 foot that's the difference. It's NOT ABOUT a huge gap in production or dominance as a player.

If KD's all around game DIDN'T evolve the way it did, I would have went with Wade. Because great scoring wings with AVERAGE ALL AROUND GAMES are harder to build around. In the case of KD and Dr. J, their all around games were VERY GOOD to match their great scoring. Not great like a Bron, Bird, Hondo, etc at the SF. But still very good nonetheless. Wade is one of the RARE perimeter players to have great scoring, passing, rebounding, defending, and freak athletic ability as a package. MJ, Mamba, Bron, and Wade are THE GUYS who had that package. And ALL OF THEM won rings with that package as the #1 guy! But GOAT and peak-prime wise, Wade and KD are around the same area at their respective position. Top 3 type guys.

KD is a top 15 player all time. Wade isn't.

Wade is better as the man.

Durant is better as a second fiddle.

In terms of career value, I have to say Wade.

2006 title run from Wade blows away anything Durant has ever done in playoffs. I would say even Wade's 2012 title run was better then any Durant title run, sadly enough.

Maybe Durant will change his legacy with Nets but that's just the way it is right now.

Durant is the better play for sure, he defeated Lebron twice in the NBA Finals and theres something about going 8-1 against one of the top 5 players in NBA history.

KD but it's still close... Wade was considered as good as prime Lebron and Kobe in 2009 and 2010.

People have hyped KD as a potential goat tier player at various times in his career. I don't ever recall Wade being in those kind of conversations.

KD.

Wade! He won a title as the man for a franchise that never won before.

Individual talent, kd. But i cant get past what he did to okc. So overall as a player i would pick wade.

Talentwise its KD.

But mentality and toughness wise its Wade.

I just wished he hadn't had all his knee cartilage removed before being drafted.

kd's only advantage is his team-hopping and scrawny injury-resistant frame

Wade. I can't even consider KD seriously as a basketball player with his mentality.

I feel like I would go with Wade by the thinnest of margins because what Wade did in 2006 Durant simply couldn't do. That 2006 Heat team was solid but wasn't a historically stacked team. In fact they had a lot of guys like Walker, Jason Williams, and Payton who were on their last legs. Even Shaq who was still an efficient 20/10 big man wasn't very assertive in the Finals and they needed Wade to play a GOAT-caliber series. I think no one since 2006 has had a Finals performance as good as 2006 Wade.
