View Full Version : "Kevin Love and Kyrie Irving were never close during their time together"

"Love and Irving were never particularly close during their time together. Most players on those Cavs teams grew tired of Irving’s stunts, such as not talking to anyone at practice. Love also had issues with the media but resolved them through his own personal mental health journey. Love is more comfortable being himself these days and isn’t afraid to speak out — even against a former teammate."https://theathletic.com/news/kyrie-irving-fine-nba-media/VXWqKG3j80Uo (https://www.reddit.com/r/nba/comments/kblffs/the_athletic_kevin_love_and_kyrie_irving_were/)

it's amazing how well Cavaliers organization was able to bury Irving's behavior for so long. in just the few years he's been with Celtics and Nets it feels like so much has unraveled about his adolescent character

[Withers] Kevin Love disagrees with former teammate Kyrie Irving’s stance on the media. “Calling anybody a pawn is a sure sign of disrespect,” Love said. “I’m not a divisive person.” (https://twitter.com/twithersAP/status/1337458431310114822)

LeBron brings people together - he can even work with cancers like Kyrie. He's the only superstar in history that could've won with the Cavs from 2014 to 2018.

We all heard the criticism from casuals and MJ stans (most are casuals anyway who've never played a game of basketball, let alone been good at it) for years. It must be an awful experience coming to the realization that you're basically wrong about almost everything.

It's ok guys.

There are two sides to every story.

Rodman and MJ weren't particular close either. It's not like teammates have to be butt buddies with each other in order to coexist.

Lebronturds once again bringing MJ up in a non MJ thread. Seems to be a pattern or coping mechanism.

Retard MJ stans looooved it when Kyrie forced his way out of Cleveland.

They said it was all LeBron's fault.

Now again, everything MJ stans thought about Kyrie was wrong.

MJ stans have a habit of being wrong. When does it end?

Kyrie was a cancer that only LeBron could handle for that long.

Kevin McHale-Larry Bird
Magic-KAJ
MJ-Horace Grant
Shaq-Kobe
Draymond Green-KD

These are teammates who had a shaky relationship and still won the championship. Not a big deal, it happens all the time. Who would have thought a caucasian from Oregon and an african-american from New Jersey be close? What a surprise.

Talking about Irving, I think until the 2018 playoffs he was much more focused in basketball. He wasn't that much of a headache until then, he had his moments (his beef with Waiters, for example) but since the Celtics almost reached the 2018 finals without him he started to complain, talk rubbish to teammates, coaches, media, etc. all the time.

Kyrie Irving sounds eerily similar to kanye West.

Kyrie is such a weird dude I’m sure he’s not close to anyone.
