Sources: The Lakers and free agent center Montrezl Harrell are in negotiations for the NBA sixth man of the year to join them. Harrell turned down more money from Charlotte to join the Lakers.

This kind of when unnoticed

Kendrick Perkins (who’s def a Klutch source) said Trez turned down an offer for 80M from another team to join the Lakers

I can see MJ being this dumb but Trez has to be out of his mind turning down 80mil. Especially during these COVID19 times. It's not like he has all star potential or some unique valued talent in the league. If true just insane stupidity on his part.

lol Harrell is legit a moron if this is true. I highly doubt it is, though. Nobody can be this stupid.

This is Nerlens Noel-level stupid if true. He hasn’t made enough in his career to turn down 4 year $80 vs 2 year $20. I don’t even like money that much and that’s absolutely mind-****ing retarded. Think about your kids and grandkids at least.

he's betting on himself hard and yea I think it's stupid too. already caused some locker room problems with the clips. I'm thinking he truly believes he can be the 3rd guy on a dominant championship team but idk. Imo schroeder is better and doesnt have any matchups where he's unplayable. It's not going be good for harrell when he's straight up not playing in playoff games vs denver

I think he did it just to spite the Clippers. He is a very emotional guy so he probably took it personal when he saw the Clippers not reaching out right away to sign him. Lakers probably reached out to him right away before the Clippers so I bet you he got upset over it & signed with Lakers as "revenge." He waited like 2 days but probably didn't hear from Clippers or get a serious offer. I recall he had words with Kawhi in playoffs and Playoff P so it probably became a blame game in locker-room after the Denver series. Then they don't get to him right away once free-agency began so I bet he didn't feel wanted :lol

When it gets personal like that, you don't think about money. You think only about getting back to them who you believe screwed you over. For Montrezz, it's probably a 1-year revenge campaign against Clippers. He will probably go berserk when facing the Clippers. It's very personal now.

All the problems were from their diva stars taking time off and acting smug.
