1. Magic Johnson
People never call him by his real name. His name is Magic now. I think some ppl beleive his real name is Magic. That's how good it is.

2. Dr. J
It rolls off the tongue soo smoothly.

3. The Logo

It's badass. Jerry West is the logo. Pretty much that's it. He represents the NBA forever.

4. The Diesel

Of all the nicknames Shaq have, this I think is the best one. This and the big aristotle.

5. King James

I always thought this nickname is one of the GOATs. From the bible lol. And LeBron James play also back this up.

6. Pistol Pete

It's badass. It rolls off very well.

7. The Admiral

I always thought this was perfect for David Robinson. Great representation of his service from the navy. Simple but creative.

8. The Dream

Always loved Hakeem's nickname. And even has the "dream shake" move. It's great.

9. AI the Answer

It's great. It rolls of the tongue so well.

10. The Snake
Cuz KD is a snake.

Honorable mentions

Doc Rivers
I don't care what anyone says. It's a little cheating cuz he basically got this nickname from Dr. J. But I bet you ppl think Doc is his real name. Similar to Magic and Muggsy, nobody call him by his real name. He's Doc Rivers.
Muggsy Bogues- I think some ppl think this is his real name.
Black Mamba-Kobe
Michael Air Jordan or his Airness
The Truth-Paul Pierce
Slim Reaper- I don't know why KD hates this nickname. It's badass. But I like him being a snake better.
Chief Curry-Steph Curry
The Cheif-Robert Parish
Iceman-George Gervin
Blackhole-Kevin Mchale
Mailman-Karl Malone

I always change my mind with the nicknames. But the top 3 stays the same.

The mailman is great because he always delivers and plays in the post. To bad Scottie got him though.

Kirilenko is nicknamed "AK-47", in reference to both his initials, the jersey number he wore, and the AK-47 rifle. Coincidentally, Kirilenko was born in the city of Izhevsk, in the former Soviet Union (now in Russia), where the weapon was first manufactured.

Some of these aren't nicknames. No one calls Jerry West the Logo. He is the actual Logo, but no one calls him that. He didn't even know he was the logo until years after his playing career was over.

Some I'd add:
Walt CLYDE Frazier
Clyde the GLIDE Drexler
Earl the PEARL Monroe

That's a good one. One of my favorite and funniest ones, "Half man, half season" for Vince Carter in the 2000's. Also loved "Human highlight film" for Dominique Wilkins.

Not the best but I always thought "The Worm" was amusing. It fit Rodman for several reasons.

No. It was inspired by Disney.

Black Mamba is the most badass nickname by far.

He gave it to himself. Therefore it doesn't count.

Also not original. Was Roger Mayweather's ringname.
