View Full Version : Will LeBron ever get to win a Finals series playing as bad as ‘96 MJ?

MJ: 27pg on 41% 6 rebounds 4 assists, and almost blowing a 3-0 lead

Why does LeBron need multiple 40 point games and 30 point triple doubles just to have a chance?

Because he's shifted the gameplay back to Bron Ball. It makes him A stat god while sucking the Morale out of the team. He doesn't need 40 point games. If he is getting 40 point games then the team is not playing lakersball.

He took 21 shots, you autistic ****. :oldlol:

So, apparently 40 points on 21 shots is a bad thing now.

1)

Lebron 2013 Finals... 25 on 52.9 TS.... 5 ppg more than 2nd option
Jordan 1996 Finals... 27 on 53.8 TS.. 12 ppg more than 2nd option

2)

- Lebron averaged 16 on 39% thru 3 games (1-2 deficit and needed Ray Allen)
- Jordan averaged 31 on 46% thru 3 games (3-0 lead)

3) Lebron had a negative net rating in the 13' Finals (Heat lost with him on floor)

Noboby will ever have the luxury of playing that poorly and winning.

But that's what happens when you have the luxury of playing with a #4 and a #5 guy who can average 20/6/5 and 19/7/5 if you give them their own team.

If you knew the game you'd know the answer to this Because its an easy one. Its the same reason why all ball dominant system needs 40/10 from there star to win. The system is way to dependent on them to make plays. Luka, bron, harden and even Murray this playoffs. These teams all have shit off ball movement.

I don't understand how this is a negative to Jordan in the context of comparing Jordan to Lebron.

At least Jordan made it to the playoffs in his first 2 seasons compared to Lebron missing the playoffs his first 2 seasons. Lebron had Big Z and Boozer his first year 2003-04 and Big Z was also an All Star in 2004-05. :confusedshrug:

He suffered a near career ending injury. Surely you understand that? Not to mention, the Bulls were 9-9 (.500%) in the games he played, 21-43 without him (.328%).

Seattle was one of the best defensive teams in the league that year (#2 in the league), while being guarded a significant amount of the finals by the then DPOY, Gary Payton - a 9x All-Defensive player and arguably the greatest defensive PG to ever play.

Terrible comparison, especially when Lebron has had multiple undesirable finals performances in his career, including one where he shot 35% and averaged 6 turnovers.

Well with your logic Lebron missed the playoffs at age 34 while MJ just completed his second 3peat

I personally don't like making all time GOAT lists. Rather GOTE Greatest of their Era and I believe Jordan was the GOTE of the 90s and Lebron is the GOTE of the 10s. Comparing players within their own era makes more sense than comparing people in different eras. It's just a recipe for unnecessary conflict.

26/10/2 on 41%. That guy won and it was against Lebron. How shit must Lebron have been in that series?
