There’s something going on with these scoring games. Dame don’t even look impressive anymore after Jamal Murray did his thing. Than you got Donovan mediocre ass scoring crazy too. Iverson would of dropped 70 by now

The proof is in the pudding.

AI might put up 70 points but he's doing it on 80 shots.

Not in this era he dropped 55 on 21-32 so I doubt it

Iverson is a modern Fred Van Vleet.

6'0 scorers

With a less physical era and cupcake calles nowadays, AI is going to shoot better knowing no one can get close to you on a shot. He’s getting the same fg% as any of these guys today. Plus he gets to the line a ton.

That's why its important you pay attention to the defense they are playing. Dame is playing an elite defense. Mitchell/Jamal are playing against poor defenses. I think Mitchell and Jamal would struggle vs Lakers as well. They are still all 3 similar tier scorers I think, once they get hot they are hot.

Luka in his first playoffs against the supposed best defensive team put up 31/10/9 on 60% TS :confusedshrug:

Current rules + bubble = everyone going off unless you're Playoff P

The 2000's, more accurately the mid to late 2000's, was one of the weakest era's of all time.

Flooded with nobody highschool players, watered down the competition.

Please :facepalm

Is there a more fatuous or agenda-driven topic than comparing basketball eras?

95-05 was the most diluted NBA

Lmao early 2000s was way better to watch than these playoffs. Early 2000s players >>> players today

The zen master would most likely spit right into your face or he'll get you slapped by a big fish instead once he hears you say that

The lane is wide open today so players don't need to be as skilled offensively at shot-making, particularly ON defenders.. previous eras were far better at making shots on defenders

I don't understand how people are debating still this. Defenders cannot even touch the offensive player without getting called for a foul. College basketball is more physical.
