Just watched Luka hit game winner. I wonder how Bird would do in this spread the floor, no defense league. He was better than Luka at every aspect of BB. How great would Bird be in today's game. Bird was never nearly as ball dominate as Luka, but playing in today's league he probably would be.

bird doesnt have the ball handling or first step luka has. with his footwork, he blows by good defenders. He dominate but they have completely different games.

Bird would be a center today.

He would be like a mix of Jokic and Draymond.

Not saying they are the same type of player. Just saying if Luka can do what he is doing, how good would Bird be in this league considering he is bigger, stronger, a better shooter and rebounder and defender.

Bird is a better half court player by far.. Luka is great but his game is aided by the spacing.. BIRD didnt need spacing..

Bird + spacing = Demi-GOD..

remember when Bird played West coast no defense Por back then and said he wanted tom play the game left handed?? He scored 27 points with just his left hand, including a 3 pointer.. with 45 overall.

Luka is really good, but Larry really on a whole other level..

Bird doesn't have anywhere near the dribbling or driving ability of luka. those euro steps and layups he was busting out were all world, ive seen bird highlights he never slashed to the rim that beautifully. He's still GOAT but if Luka stays healthy he will surpass him.

Bird would definitely be a stretch 4 in today's game. He can't play the pg role like Doncic does. Very different players.

Bird would overpower guys. Harrell would be afraid to mess with Bird. Bird talked crap to everyone. He would feast on Harrell and rub his face in it. He was strong af but not as mobile as Doncic.

Let's not forget though that Bird was 23 as a rookie. Hard to compare him to a 21 yr old.
