I hope he breaks Kareem's scoring record.

Impressive. Seen it mentioned on here quite a bit, but LeBron is arguably the best 35 y/o player ever. And his longevity only rivals Jabbar.

I hope he breaks Kareem's scoring record.

Kareem 38,387
Lebron · 34,241

The gap is 4146 points. Three seasons of 1400 points should do it.

If he doesn't go down to various injuries in the future. Better pray he doesn't.

MJ scored more points his rookie season than Lebron in 16 out of his 17 and still had 1500+ points at age 40.

Also, Karl Malone would have had 17 seasons too, if not for the '99 lockout.

So they didn't do it. Gotcha.

So they didn't do it. Gotcha.

This is such a pointless stat. The 1500 number was only created because Lebron had 1505 points last year, they would have raised it if they could have to make him "only player to have at least x points for 17 years".

Change it to 1600+ and Kareem's the only one to do it 17 years in a row.

Kareem's the only one to score 1600+ points 17 years in a row and is the oldest FMVP in league history at 38. GOAT longevity.

The Great LeBron James has 16 straight 25 ppg seasons.
The second highest amount of 25 ppg seasons by a player are Kobe and Karl Malone with 12.
