Giannis, Anthony Davis, Embiid, Jokic, KAT etc...

How do these bigs fare compared to the greats?

I think Giannis and AD are the Duncan and KG of this generation -- center-sized PFs who can do it all.

Embiid has been pretty legit, but has failed to perform in the post season.

Jokic is like Bill Walton, or something..

KAT has Dirk potential?

I think Giannis is the only one that can truly compete with the all-time great big men in value and career. Not AD, Embiid, or KAT.

Giannis is a potential top 10 GOAT for sure.

Embiid could have a career like Patrick Ewing if he stays healthy. It's possible he gets to a Hakeem or Shaq level though, but I don't think he will. I'd say the same thing for Jokic.

AD will be top 50 all time for sure barring injury, it's just a matter of where in the top 50 you put him.

IDK about Kat, he kind of strikes me as being Minnesota Kevin Love rn.

They aren't even better than the crop before them.

Webber, Sheed, KG, Duncan, Dirk, Shaq,

Who aren't better than the crop before them.

Hakeem, Ewing, Robinson, Mutumbo, Malone, Barkley, Mourning,

Im so nba'd out

too young to judge right now but big man hasnt taken a noise dive in iq like PG has.Other than not abusing being guarded by midgets and passing out of double teams in the post.Big man hasn't falling off too bad

I mean none of them are Hakeem but he is the moutain top

edit- imma stop taking shots at the IQ in today's game....this is just how basketball is gonna be played now.Gotta accept it

Jarrett Allen has the potential to be the best shot blocking big man since Dkembe Mutombo, he's still only 22 and is already arguably the best defensive big man in the NBA

Its tough to compare because the best bigs are greek and ad and they dont play big really. They're slso just entering their primes so we'll have to wait and see it play out.

Davis and Jokic are the only notable players.

Compared to Shaq, Duncan, Garnett, Dirk, Webber of the 2000's.

Or Hakeem, Ewing, Shaq, Robinson, Malone, etc. of the 1990's.

Or the Kareem's, Wilt's, Russell's of the past.

Simply put... today is a joke in that arena.

And OP should be banned.

Kat not in the tier with those guys.

Those guys are amongst the best in the league.

I like Towns but he isn't a top guy on your team caliber player.

He "thinks" Giannis isn't good at basketball or something. RRR3 has the exact quote.

Giannis and AD can compete with any big men. Also a lot of the big men are young still...pretty unfair to compare their careers to big men who were able to play out their careers and win chips.

I guess they despise him for being cocky or something like that.

I guess they despise him for being cocky or something like that. Nah I don't think so. They despise him because he is so great. That's all to it.

He "thinks" Giannis isn't good at basketball or something. RRR3 has the exact quote. Which is ridiculous considering Giannis is already on track to surpass some all-time greats in the next 10 years or so.

Giannis would feasibly do great in the 90s or 00s regardless of rules.

yall can gladly add Giannis to the list.

actually slipped my mind since he doesnt play the way a big man would play out the post.

it doesnt change the overall gist of it though... today's list is still completely paltry compared to 80s, 90s, 00s.

I hope so, as people think the east is boring for having bland competition.

Chris Webber>Giannis is quite a spicy take

I liked Chris Webber but Giannis is better than him, particularly on the defensive end.
