View Full Version : Sprewell gives the Celtics 49 with a nice mix of inside, outside, and midrange shots.

A lot of those midrange ones would make some coaches now cringe I’m sure. But it was a nice game.

However.....in a thrilling battle for the title of “Mr. Inconsistent” Antione Walker has 42 including a 4th quarter takeover and a 3 to force OT and get the win.....taking a bunch of shots he would be encouraged to take now(he was 6 of 17 from 3). Perhaps you can spot him among the pixels in this video from the internet’s dark ages.....

Nice game is an understatement. This like a once in a lifetime game for Spree.

That, or remembered for the wrong reasons.

When I moved back from Florida ended up stuck in NJ for a bit, and then since lol. Guy a couple houses away used to invite me to play basketball and Spree was his favorite player..still at Golden State.

I think people forget that this guy was 1st Team All-NBA in 93/94...probably shouldn't have been ahead of KJ, to be honest, but he was a terrific player.

Mr. Inconsistent...can't compare Walker to him.

That too. Imagine if that happened today though, all these pathetic soft Zoomers would find a way to blame his coach for what transpired

Not really forgotten...he was just never that great to begin with. He's one of those few time all star players that come and go.

That game 7 against the Heat he had in 2000 was dope

Im so fond of this era. the late 90s early 2000s. I even appreciate the scrubs, the tyronn lues and the keon clarks of the league.

guys like sprewell and antoine walker are legends to me even though I legit wouldnt want either leading my playoff team, even as a second option.

Supposedly what set Spree off was when PJ Carlesimo asked him if he could “get a little bit more mustard” on a pass. :lol

Marion. Neither should be your alpha dog scorer, but Spree was deluded into thinking he was one early in his career. Marion brings a lot more to the table overall.
