What do you guys think??

Both are held in high regard but it seems people value the MVP over FMVP. Is it because of the media hype around MVP and a whole season to speculate on who will win vs FMVP which has a two week sample size but in the biggest moment.

It seems from the lack of replies that this accomplishment is far from a possibility

Logic dictates after 5 straight trips to the Finals, all in his prime, all as the favorite, if he wasn't able to cash in one of those opportunities into a FMVP, he probably isn't going to do it at 33

If he can somehow scratch his way back to the finals one more time, I could see the media handing him a “lifetime achievement FMVP” even if he’s not the best player, or even in the top 3.

There is a precedent for that sort of thing in the regular season. Not sure if it’s ever been done with an FMVP.

Yeah, it might be one of those sympathy FMVP's for participation, similar to Kobe's in 2009 after 6 Finals attempts with no FMVP's

True. I guess there is a precedent for post season charity FMVP.

I was initially thinking of Kobe’s regular season MVP in 08.

:(

Yep.

Or Kobe’s regular season MVP in 08.

:(

Sympathy for the media voters if Steph accepts it. He's bigger than the FMVP award. If Kobe didn't get one it ain't Kobe who would be looking foolish.

Media voters like the same unanimous MVP voters in 2016? :yaohappy:

Again who would be looking foolish it if wasn't? Curry's achievement wasn't the unanimous MVP, that's just shorthand. The achievement was the season he put together. But apparently there are people who cannot process that. Still getting more than 100+ people to agree unanimously to anything is rare.

If so, he has the proper perspective on things. It recognizes achievement better than the FMVP award.

Stephen love his Kids Choice Awards. he tends to show up each year to receive his nickelodeon blimp . i suppose i would too if I lacked individual NBA accolades like FMVP votes

I always thought Stephen would be a better fit in Space Jam 2, as most of his general fanbase seems to be into the genre of Disney cartoons and Teen Bop magazines

Yup, i guess so. And for some odd reason, i think he resembles a mouse. So if he were to be a mascot for disney, he should be mickey mouse.

Either way, he's a rodent. I'm trying to look for a meme that would show he's like one, similar to draymond green being compared to a donkey but to no avail.

I would of said no a few years ago but im not so sure now. More and more teams are playing a ball dominant style of play especially in the west. The warriors are gonna be back with a healthy cast next year and knowing them they'll probably pick up a solid piece or 2. Their main competition will be lakers and clips but lebron is gonna be old as hell and kawhi is pretty injury prone. I hate saying this but theres a good chance the warriors will be back in the finals next year with a heavily motivated steph. I wouldn't count him out.

If he didnt choke so hard with LBJ's #2 and #3 out he wins it. Cavs lost Kyrie at the end of game #1 (they lost still).

Then LBJ goes 2-3 with Delly and Mozgov Versus Curry @ Full strength

If Draymond Green stops recruiting players that are better than Stephen Curry. No excuses for Curry if he fails to win an NBA Finals MVP in the next 3 years. They got the first overall pick.
