View Full Version : Seriously, what the hell does ESPN & sports media do now?

Obviously, one of the lesser problems we're currently facing lol, but I really wanna know, what the hell are ESPN, the other sports channels, the countless different sports radio shows and websites going to do for the next few weeks? How are they going to come up with material when their subject matter is literally not even in existence for the foreseeable future? It's more of a curiosity than anything else, I'm sure it's difficult enough to churn out interesting, relevant material during a normal week, but now? I don't even know how they deal with a situation they could've never possibly predicted happening

A bunch of "Mount Rushmore" and Cowboys topics coming up now. Brady's & Dak's free agency is a big deal which is coming up next week.

They’re just gonna update us on the health of players and the coronavirus. You’re thinking about it as if only the games matter.

Same thing they always do. Rumors and Speculation.
Will Tom Brady sign with the Raiders and also star in a Vegas Show with Giselle?
Will Spike Lee make a film about Jim Dolan titled "HE'S JUST LAME"?
Will Jose Altuve be forced to wear a football helmet with full mask when he's at the plate?
Tune in to SportsCenter to find out.

Few weeks. This could go on for months

The only good news is that this strain of Coronavirus thrives in colder weather and it will start heating up soon

It also doesn't like humidity as it breaks down the structure of the virus quickly. Sunlight also helps kill off the virus

We'll be safe soon bros. I'm in Mexico now so I don't give af, but I wish the rest of you well

They might do 1 hour of sportscenter everyday to go over whatever news their is and then replay that same episode 8 times in a row like they used to do. Then from there just play a bunch of old games, 30 for 30s and other original content.

At some point soon they're going tell most of their staff to stay home especially since their are no stories to cover anyway.

Imagine all the independent and small time film makers that have come to them of the years, pitching them a documentary for 30 for 30.

Imagine how many they said no to cause they didn't see their product as something they thought was worth investing in.

Imagine how much they regret all that now. Would have had a heap of content in storage...

The early days of ESPN was Australian rules football and other exotic sports. I'm sure they'll find something to show

Pretty sure it will be nonstop talk about 'is he better than he was' nonsense. I usually listen to sports radio all day as I work but I have been paying less and less attention. They rarely even talk about basketball to begin with, unless the Knicks pull a Knicks and screw something up. I'm gonna have to start listening to music... ugh
