View Full Version : What does Joel Embiid have against Giannis

I've had this feeling for a whole now that embiid is extremely jealous of Giannis but the All-star game pretty much confirmed it. Everytime Giannis called for the ball from embiid, embiid looked him off to either pass it to someone else, turn it over, or brick a shot. Not once did he make an attempt to give Giannis the ball. It's very obvious embiid is insanely jealous of Giannis's success, he wishes he had Giannis's career. Embiid truly is a bitch, Embitch

Giannis is not a closer. He will always be looked off.Thats why Nurse had to give him that bs fluff story about "hunting out harden" in the clutch so Giannis wouldnt pout. Just like on the Bucks and the Greek national team....Giannis will never have his hands on the ball in the final mins of a close game.He will be relegated to setting picks for an actual closer
Giannis may have been the team captain but everyone on the team knew that was Embiid's team.Embiid was the Alpha on that team.Embiid was the closer for that team.Embiid was the best player on that team....

Pretty much grunt work.Giannis is the guy when the director says "cut" he rushes onto the set to begin folding the equipment back up until shooting begins the next day.Giannis is a pick setter in the clutch....nothing more...nothing less...
TLDR
Big Wiggle is robert de niro
Giannis = the mic guy who holds the mic just out of the view of the camera (edit boom operator just looked it up)

Are you mentally retarded, the ball is always in Giannis hands, he leads the ****ing league in clutch efg and ts% fakkit. The bucks are first in clutch points net rating, dumb ****. Seems like embiids fans take on his Giannis hating personality

Giannis can't close crucial games. Embiid can.

Because Joel is actually capable of closing games, whereas Giannis simply isn't.
When you wall off the paint and stop Giannis from bulling and long-stepping to the rim, his lack of actual basketball skills become painfully obvious.

I love greek and i think hes gonna dominate the next decade but hes definitely not a "closer" yet. In the playoffs when the game slows down and the fourth becomes mostly a half court contest greek dosnt have the game to be an effective scorer. He dosnt have a midrange game or even alot of post moves. His three ball is getting better but its still not good enough to where it would be a consistent weapon come playoff time. His first step isnt explosive enough to beat guys in the half court so he cant get to the lane to finish. So right now he literally has no way to really score consistently or effectively in the halfcourt against tough playoff defenses.
That said i do think hes working hard to change this and in 2 or 3 more years when hes in his prime his midrange, three and post game will be good enough to make him nearly impossible to stop and he'll most likely win multiple chips and go down as one of the best players ever.

Are you mentally retarded? I made that way before the game and congrats on embiid, declaring himself the best player in the world after beating a below .500 team. ****er looked tired out there huffing and buffing. Hoes season average is 23, bum

Stop talking out your ass, he's like 4th in 4th quarter scoring despite not playing heavy minutes and leads the league in clutch efg. Miss me with that dumb nonsense

Ive seen Giannis make a few turnaround jumpers this year. I don't remember him doing that much last year.
I think a lot of people are underestimating him. He was rolling in the playoffs last year until he ran into Kawhi.

That 4th quarter in the all star game was really interesting.
Team Giannis starters were guys who are great in the open floor or need to be fed the ball in a particular spot. They didn’t have a single guy that can ISO and create his own shot in the half court yet they all tried to do that.
Meanwhile Team Lebron had nothing but shot creating alphas that can ISO the **** out. Yet they kept passing off whenever they had clear lanes or good looks.
Gonna be interesting to see how these guys operate in playoff crunch times.
