He's looking like a problem. He uses his strength extremely well to get to the rim, and his footwork looks excellent. His J has been effective, even though he doesn't have much arc on his shot.

I told my friends, Rui is going to be a very good NBA player. Won't be a star but if you need a plug and play SF/PF, he's going to score and do enough to not hurt you.

Actually think him with the Spurs would have been the perfect situation for him.

He'll be decent but summer league and pre-season mean next to nothing.

I feel you, but New Zealand is a team of grown men who have trained together, not a thrown-together summer league team.

A lot of folks worry about his ball skills not being up to star-scorer quality, but he's a legit 4 (not undersized) because of his strength and wingspan. He's going to be guarded by a lot of bad perimeter defenders, or guys he can just out muscle down low.

Depending on health and playing time I could see him being a 15ppg next year, and probably a consistent 2nd option scorer for a good team down the road.

he's not afraid to shine, so that's a positive thing, also, at least we know he's healthy to play.

we dont even know can fults or who's that dude (who has back injury) even play next season.
