View Full Version : LeBron didn't beat the 73-9 Warriors, he beat the 15-9 Warriors (playoffs)

In 2016 the Warriors were 15-9 in the playoffs = 62.5% winrate
In 2019 the Warriors were 14-8 in the playoffs = 63.6% winrate
Kawhi beat the best version of the Warriors. Not to mention the fact that the core of GSW had more stats in 2019 compared to their 2016 counterparts.
$tats never lose.

2016 had Harrison Barnes and a younger Iggy and Shaun Livingston.
The 19 Dubs without KD and Klay hurt for most of that series is clearly worse than that 2016 team

you have a point but shouldnt you take out the finals games :oldlol:. kind of muddles up the record when 3-4 losses come from lebron and kawhi's teams.
12-5 for 2016 warriors
12-4 for 2019 warriors
Both teams had missed games during playoffs however. kd with 19 team, curry with 16 team

well curry was hurt but played. Kd played a quarter. That's a big difference. Ofc, I expect 3ball to pop and insist the warriors without kd in 19 are the exact same as 16 warriors however

how many quarters did kd play in '16?
he was the difference in the series being 4-1 vs 4-2.
also, how many quarters did 25/13/5 all star center boogie cousins play in '16? how many quarters did he play in '19?

I'm only slightly exaggerating when I say the warriors at times didnt have a full starting lineup of healthy bodies in the nba finals. That matters, depth doesnt matter as much in the playoffs but you ideally need like 7 guys. Gtfo with 25/13/5 cousins lol, you know that's trolling.

how is it "trolling"?
that's what the man averaged the season before he joined the dubs.
'16 dubs didn't have any center that was even 1/6 of that.

Coming off achilles and averaged 16/8/4 during the rs. he averaged 8/5/2 in the finals(while being an obvious negative on defense) after returning from another injury and if it was the regular season wouldnt have even been playing imo. I mean a lot of the blame is on him for ibaka getting so many easy buckets off the lowry/ibaka pnr.
The main reason the warriors had to play him was twofold. They would've played him insignificant minutes if looney was fine but the dude couldnt breathe at times and needed any offensive firepower with klay out.
the 16 team was filled with seemingly useless depth like barnes, a better livingston, more useful bogut for some games, barbosa but they matter.

So youre telling me the Warriors lost the same amount of games in the playoffs as they did the whole regular season? What frauds!
