If you’re on a good team that doesn’t want to give you the max there’s no better place to be than restricted free agency. The bad teams that might have otherwise made you a good but not max offer will know they have to overpay so your team doesn’t keep you. Get a great offer from a doormat team in a city you can stand living in and your options are to get massively overpaid and lose or get massively overpaid and win. Get one of those crazy front loaded Lin deals to scare off your old team if you really wanna go. And teams like to throw in poison pills like trade kickers and so on. Really dig into your current team. Make it haaaard to keep you. But if they do you know they care. If they don’t....**** em. Do numbers and lose for a while then go back on the market unrestricted.
