If he doesn't qualify for the Lebron welfare program, then he's done. And I really don't think even the Lakers with their roster depth will give him a shot.

He's done. Someone would of picked him up for the playoffs if he wasn't.

That's because Lin is down with being towel boy and getting schooled by Lowry and FVV in practice. Melo has a higher opinion of himself.

Melo's already been vindicated by Houston's choke in the playoffs. They tried to scapegoat him, well he was off the team, what happened? Same with OKC honestly.

They got better with him off the team, that's for sure. Defense improved, and the offense got better. Melo was too much of a liability on defense, and he wasn't efficient at all on offense. He averaged 13 ppg on 40%. Sure that doesn't look that bad, but check out his game log in those 10 games. He had 3-4 games that were total outliers, and they boosted up his numbers. In the rest of those games, he was completely garbage.

It's time to stop defending Melo and realize that he's not a good NBA player anymore. His time in the league is finished.

Rockets got closed out by a Durant less warriors team. Melo would of been a plus.

No he wouldn't have. Warriors would've closed that game out sooner if Melo was on the floor for Houston. He's horrible on defense and he's not efficient at all. A total negative

What's 10 games? Nothing. They got rid of him to mask the problems Harden and Paul were actually having. It fit the narrative since D'Antoni had issues with his playing style prior. In reality, there's plenty of players that improve over the course of a season. Just look at Draymond in the playoffs, changed back to 2015 self through a new regimen.

Houston could have used Melo's scoring in the playoffs, even as a decoy to take off pressure off Harden and Paul. It's not like adding Austin Rivers later in the season was that much better production. Having a veteran scorer who's been around the playoffs, and could turn his game up never hurts. Pierce is a great example, took over for the Wizards in that Raptors series a few years ago.

If it's not the Lakers, he will not. He probably would've been on the Lakers last year if they were closer to making the playoffs.
