View Full Version : Kevin Durant could win 8 titles in Golden State and still not pass LeBron all time

There's literally nothing this guy can do while playing for Golden State that is going to get him the type of glory, adoration and validation he so desperately desires. Nothing.

Nobody that is in the least bit of a rational and level headed human being gives Kevin Durant a normal level of credit for the titles that he's thus far won... and that won't change if he stays in Golden State with a team that is clearly elite without him.

Lebron joined the players with the #2 and #4 PER in the league

KD joined with the 1st and 47th PER in the league

I mean I doubt that conspiracy but he'll forever be downplayed in history.

It sucks someone of his category would be viewed like that.

Pathetic! He better leave.

Thats dumb, 8 titles would be insanely difficuly so yeah he would be head and shoulders above lebron at that point and probably in the goat conversation.

8 titles would actually put him over LeBron for me. 8 titles is a lot regardless of team, especially in this day and age where the 6-12 players are usually changing year to year. Then motivation to keep winning year in and year out would fade.

both lebron and durants titles are equally worthless

neither guy has a title without colluding a big 3-4 together

and i like durant. but i am the only truthful fan on ISH

all we have to go by is their skills. and durant is far more skilled on both ends

Boom.

8 titles? Idk about that one chief. That’s a strong argument over LeBron no matter how you view his team. Especially if he wins that many FMVPs

If he can wind up in the same ballpark statistically as well then he certainly has a strong case over him. In that case I’d put him over.

No one gives any value to collided rings. Same with collided finals appearances

unfortunately kd's legacy isn't set sealed and cemented unlike lbj's gold standard™ legacy.

he definitely needs to lead his own non-73-win team if he wants any respect.

Exactly. Dirk's sole ring > KD & Lebron's rings combined.

I'd say it would depend on his competition. If he manages to beat at least a couple of other superteams out of those 8 titles then yeah he would pass LeBron.

If KD wins eight rings, then he passes Bron by sorry! Peak-prime wise, I think Bron is the better player. And I still don't like the move KD made to GSW. I don't blame him for leaving OKC. BUT I figured competitive nature wise he would want to BEAT GSW and not join them. Could never imagine MJ joining the Pistons if he could. Or Doc joining the Lakers if he could have. But KD's resume would be so impressive with 8 rings that it vaults him in in the top 3-4 GOAT ever.
