They don't have any better a chance of winning with him in the game. His deficiencies more than make up for his ISO offense. As if Game 6 in Houston wasn't clear enough (w GSW losing the prior 2 games in Houston in the series with Durant). Today's game with Portland, without him, made it clearer just how much he harms team defense; the Warriors kept Portland to 36% FG.

You sound hurt with your ridiculous hot takes on the best player in the world.
He's a 2x FMVP. Bailed the Warriors out countless times when they couldn't buy a basket and the "death" line-up isn't complete without KD.
Tonight the Blazers just missed shots, and the Rockets are a considerably were team this year than they were last year.

So Looney has more impact then KD? I dont think so

2-2 and tied at the Oracle.
They dont need him whatsoever, never did, they literally won without him back to back almost, while beating him in the process.. and ofcourse winning the most games in nba history...
Im not even sure if he adds anything while playing there... defensively nope, there are better options on the team... and offensively he is just replacing the shots/touches/buckets which Curry/Klay would and did produce already.... Durant would be helpful only if Curry/Klay were cold some game or something...
Essentially all he does there is stealing the fmvp away from Curry... Thats all he does...

what? literally, almost? what does that even mean? They blew the biggest finals lead ever to Lebron and I have no reason to believe they automatically would have beat the Cavs the next 2 years.
I'll say it again, if beating HOU twice and this Blazers team once makes them the GOAT team ever than why didn't they win their last year without KD?
These boards are full of knee jerkers and revisionists. They can certainly win without him but I think it's asinine to say that he adds nothing to their team.
Lebron won 1 game in 2 finals against the Warriors with KD. Which one of you actually think that happens with this same Warriors team without KD?

The bolded perfectly sums up the situation. The Warriors minus Durant are absolutely capable of winning a championship, but he clearly makes them a tougher team to beat

The Rockets won a couple of games at home. So what? That's what they were supposed to do. Protect home court. Even the Hawks did that against the 08' Celtics.
But we saw their massive meltdown, again, in a do or die situation at home.
Except it was even more embarrassing because they allowed Kevon Looney to outplay both of their bigs (Capela/Nene).
Draymond dribble penetration, Curry scoreless in a half and it's a tie game?
That's embarrassing.

Curry needs to win a title ASAP so Kobe stans can shut the fukk up, and quit jockriding Durant.
:oldlol:
Against a team like Milwaukee? Yeah Durant will more than likely be "needed". But without him the Warriors are still AT WORST the second best team in the league. At worst.
Cut the bullshit already.

Couldn't agree more.
To the bold...he already did.
That is the thing...we have already reached the point at which the morons start trying to pretend things didn't happen.
I'd get some of this if Curry didn't do what he did pre-KD, but my god...we saw 15 and 16. And if Curry can't hack it...what the **** does that say about Durant? He was the guy sent home by Curry in the 16 playoffs...where we saw Durant meltdown in the biggest game of his career at home.

Let me break it down for you.
A far superior version of the Rockets the year prior lost with HCA when KD was playing.
A far worse version of the Rockets lost without HCA in a do or die game 6 at home when the Warriors didn't have KD and when Curry was scoreless in a half.
The Warriors winning without KD doesn't make them look any better, it just makes the Rockets look even worse.

Right.
I'm speaking on the moment though. I agree that people act like GS were "73 wins and choked in 2016...then KD". But like you said, what about 2015?
I'd also rephrase that line you quoted.
*Curry needs to win a Finals MVP*
Maybe then shitheads will become more rational.

Wrong. GSW can beat EITHER of the East teams. Neither team can stop Steph or Clay. This is STILL a championship team without KD. Lest we forget.

They're not winning shit last year without Durant and I'm not even sure they beat the Cavs in 2017 without him dominating the finals in the fashion he did.

KD dropped 34/5/5 with 3 blocks on 11-21 shooting in game 7 last year.
Then he carried the Warriors in game 3 of the finals. 43/13/7 on 15-23 shooting and hit the dagger 3.

I'm deadass serious.
Stephen missed like 30 games last year and missed an entire playoff series. They might not even get a top 4 seed without KD.

cavs feel like a tossup like 16(depends on other hypothetical moves). Rockets are going get historically underrated because they dropped off some this year and there's a good chance this core doesnt win anything. Their healthy stats last year were ridiculous https://twitter.com/NylonCalculus/status/985885723294359552.
Tbf GS in 16 and 17 without KD were up there(think they had a 10+SRS in the 19 games KD missed which is championship level) but that wasnt the case by 18. I think a huge part of that is draymond coasting during the RS now however(bench is a factor too). It may be also why they look good in the playoffs so far.
