#1 - 80s ( Magic )
#2 - 90s ( Jordan )
#3 - 00s ( Kobe )
#4 - 60s ( Wilt )

these 4 guys are by far the most popular and most recognized stars in nba history. they represented the nba during its greatest era's. kareem and russell accomplished more but weren't very popular. they're in my top 3 as far as careers go but that isn't what makes you mount rushmore material

those 4 guys are easly the most polarizing and should represent the NBA

Was Bird any less representative of the 80's than Magic? I mean he obviously catered to a different market so to speak, but I have a hard time separating the two in terms of what they meant to the league and each other.

I'd have to agree. Bird and Magic on that same level.

This Rushmore has to have five heads. Maybe six, because Russell was just as important as Wilt in the 60s.

Bird and magic go together.

I also need to add no matter how hard you try to erase certain players... legacies dont get persecuted by emotional stans and haters.

That's why none of the Warriors are on this Rushmore. What they've done to Lebron these past few years is criminal.

Magic was the more marketable personality and that played into his game, easier in appeal than Bird's blue collar grit and grind style. That was the beauty of the rivalry and I don't think either's historical standing is what it is without each other. I personally never look at Magic in a vacuum without Bird and vice versa. Bird was the better player until 88 anyways( but that's a different argument).

I'm sorry, I thought there were two sides to the ball. Lebron played elite two way offense defense in that 2016 finals.

Kyrie was huge. I don't get why people have to discredit one person to credit another. Anytime you have two guys scoring 40+ points back to back, they share that game ball. Both did their job. Kinda like how Shaq/Kobe did their job and Kobe/Gasol. or maybe MJ/Pippen, Bird/Mchale, Magic/Kareem/Worthy.

Duncan/Parker/Ginobilli
Bron/Wade/Bosh
