Absolutely nothing wrong with signing Pelinka, the guy was brought in to help realize "Magic's vision" as an expert on the salary cap. The other part of it is his desire to help players and that he wants them to do well(same reason he was a top agent), since his first day he's talked about creating a different culture that players want to be a part of.

Lakers have room for another max player and word from at least one top 5 player that he would like to play here more than anything else(Davis), for a while there we couldn't even get a meeting with Lamarcus Aldrige..

Let's see what kind of team he can create without Magic only working part time, personally I hope he wanted to sign re-sign Randle and/or Lopez but Magic had the final say and their play style he didn't feel like fit into where he imagined the team going.
