I don't think the NBA cares to believe either way. They're just playing to what they think will work on their audience which is majority American along with a substantial international portion. The NBA wants to push an image of foreign players being really good and competitive but short of the American players. Because this is the happy medium to keep American fans from becoming insecure and foreign fans satisfied. It will continue to push this image whether foreign players are garbage or whether they even surpass American ones. So long as the demographics watching remain the same.

I actually have no qualms with any of this post aside from the last paragraph because every race has the same flaws, not just black people. People wait for a hand out in every skin tone. Criminals come in all colors as well, so do racists. Don't lump me in with some liberal agenda because i don't identify with either way of thinking.
