2013 = GOAT James run
ORtg = 125 *Highest tier, GOAT level
DRtg = 101

#2
2016 Curry
ORrg = 125

To hit 125 ORtg for a full season is ridiculous and only been done by 4 players in NBA history: Bron, Curry, KD, and MJ

2008 kobe was the olympic gold medal game mvp, took a team with no other allstars to the nba finals, beat prime tim duncan/manu/parker, averaged 28/6/5/2 with 36% threes, was 1st team all defense ontop

and was over 30ppg in the playoffs

he only lost the title due to injuries to bynum/ariza... and all they lacked was defense.. those 2 guys would have helped

that plus the all time status and he should easly be one of the top 5

but it wasn't even one of kobes 5 best seasons and the mvps a trash award based more on random agendas so whatever

You missed Chris Paul in 2013 and 2014 and 2017 and James Harden in 2016. Jokic in 2017 and 2018 and Gallinari in 2017. DeAndre in 2015, Darren Collison, Capela and Harden last year, Adrian Dantley in 1984, Gasol in 2009 and Horace Grant twice in the mid-nineties.

Barkley and McHale in 1988, Magic in 1990. Paul in 2013, Towns in '18, Barkley in '89, Terry Porter in 1991, Detlef Schrempf in '95 and Chauncey Billups in '06 and '08.

He was much more efficient, much better from 3, had better production across the board, won more games, won 27 in a row. Based strictly on regular season, why wouldn't I rate 2013 over 2012

How is 2013 LeBron considered a choke when he won

Whereas Kobe who lost and put up a worse performance than LeBron in 2013 is your number 1 fukk outta here

The greatest MVP of the 2000s getting blown off the floor by the Celtics whilst shooting a pathetic 7-22 facing elimination

5. 2010 LeBron
6. 2016 Curry
7. 2012 LeBron
8. 2017 Westbrook
9. 2010 LeBron
10. 2003 Duncan

12. 2018 Harden
13. 2007 Nowitzki

15. 2008 Kobe
16. 2006 Nash

17. 2001 Iverson

18. 2011 Rose
19. 2005 Nash

*: I think people should know that Duncan averaged more points than twice of his 2nd option Robinson (25.5 to 12.2)

Edit: This ranking is strictly about regular season. If playoffs get included Duncan in '03 and Shaq in '00 would be the top 2.

2002 Duncan got knocked out in the second round. How do you have the audacity to have him where he is on this list?

How is 2007 Dirk not last on everybody’s list?

The slander against Derrick Rose is ridiculous. Dirk got knocked out with a 67 win team in the first round to an eight seed. It wasn’t even a competitive series.

If it is regular season it is prob:

2000 Shaq
2016 Curry

2010 James (more pt, higher fg%, more assists)
2009 James
2013 James (this season james has 57% FG tho it is quite underrated)

The postseason is literally irrelevant to the MVP discussion. The thread isn't about who had the most successful postseason, it's ranking their MVP regular seasons
He's too idiot to realize that. Leave him be.

OK, then basing the ranking strictly in retrospect on regular season alone, the only difference is you would have from the various MVP winners is the record they led their team to.

Which is stupid.

If we’re ranking the MVP winners from the decade, I’m taking the entire season into account when doing so.

Derrick Rose, and Steve Nash are being hideously disrespected here.

Conversely, some admittedly better all time players than Rose / Nash or even Iverson, are having individual seasons overrated AF here. The Duncan one I just mentioned.

Dirks is the absolute worse MVP award winner on this entire list or for the past three decades. Actually, I’m just going to come out and say it, it’s the worst MVP season of all time.

Maybe because their physical stature in comparison to everybody else on this list, or their skin color, or what happened to them after their MVP season like Rose but those two guys underrated none the less.

The worst MVP of all time is Karl Malone in 1999 and it isn't even close. Statistically it wasn't even a top 10 season of his career. I mean that literally, look it up, nobody's topping that sham of an MVP season ever

And if you're going to focus most of all on the playoffs, then you could probably argue '07 Dirk as being the worst MVP. But what he did in the regular season, winning 67 games in the West with Josh Howard & Jason Terry as his best teammates? That was impressive as hell, and nobody besides the 73 win Warriors has surpassed that total since

No.

Dirk Nowitzki with a 67 win team, losing to an eight seed in the first round without even going a full seven games, and being significantly controlled by Steven Jackson ... is the worst MVP of all time.

My man accepted the award in a press conference, and was just shaking his head in his own embarrassment.

Is anyone going to be another two dimensional thinker without nuance, and call me a racist?

Once again. White Dirk Nowitzki is the worst MVP winner, and worst MVP season of all time.
