Say what you want about Bruce, he is spitting facts with stats. A breakdown of what some people want to ignore or just don't know.

96 Magic won 60 with Shaq missing 28 games.

97 Heat won 61 with Alonzo missing 16 games.

Just think about that ... that’s two conference finals foes that missed their best player for a good stretch or in Shaq’s case a chunk of the season.

Both teams could’ve easily pushed 70 win seasons. Mid 60’s at least. Then the Bulls went on to beat another 60+ win team in the Finals both seasons.

But those 73 win Warriors doeeeeee

Magic were 23-5 without shaq and 37-17 with him lmaoo.
And add possible 5 extra games to their win total. Unless you truly believe having Shaq there the whole season somehow makes them worse.

Imagine winning 60+ games and getting swept :lol

Definition of overrated/frauds, just like the Hawks that Lebron swept.

Numbers are right there i'm sorry. He was probably rushed back or sth so that could be a reason.

Those charts having nothing to do with my post.

Not my fault you weren't alive to see the mid to late 90's basketball.

Those numbers on the surface indicate that the Magic would have had a better shot winning the title with than without Shaq. I'm sure we know how silly a notion that is in reality. I would have favored the Magic over the Sonics if that matchup would have taken place. Penny vs GP would have been a good matchup but ultimately the Sonics would have had no answer for Shaq. He completely neutralizes any edge Kemp had on the interior and the roleplayers were basically a wash.

A lot of things happen during the season that impact team record, teams coast, don't put much stock in mid-season games, back to backs. Hell the 72 win Bulls had a couple of losses that were a bounce or two away from going the other way, but that's how it goes.

The Bulls literally lost like 3-4 games within one point and took their foot off the pedal clearly after they won 69. 75 wins was well within reach and plausibility.

Um they were ...

Chris Mullin
Mitch Richmond
Tim Hardaway

All could shoot from anywhere and score with near the best of them. All 20+ point per game scorers in a ahead of it

Run TMC was strong offensively, but that team doesn't compare to Golden State on either side of the ball

Jordan:. 20-7
Lebron:. 13-10

That Heat team was so great, that in the ECF they avg. 78pts a game while shooting 38% for the 5 game series.

Even MJ went off that series avg. 30pts on 27fga while shooting 38% .... :oldlol:
Spurs won 67 games in 2016 as well with no one in there prime or peak.

That Heat team had the best defense in the NBA. The Bulls were right behind them. So obviously the two best defensive teams would hold eachother to lower scoring than their average.

Absolutely not. I'm not even trying to knock them, because they were all great players, but no sane human being would consider those guys better offensive players than Curry or Durant, or take any pairing of them over a Curry/Durant duo. Add on one of the most lethal shooters ever in Klay, the current Dubs have the obvious advantage
Where did I say better?!
