You're comparing 40 year old Jordan and 38 year old post-Achilles tear Kobe to 34 year old LeBron who just carried a team that was arguably worse than the Lakers are to the finals?

Huge difference. LeBron at 34 years old with player enhancement drugs, is still clearly ability wise at the tail end of his prime.

Kobe at the same age dragged an injury plagued and old Laker team into the playoffs. Jordan at the same age led a team to 69 wins, the championship, finals MVP, all NBA first team, and ofirst team defense.

No excuses.

Jordan in 2002 and 2003 was 39 and 40-years old LOL at minimum that’s five years older than LeBron has right now. That’s with having been retired for three years, and all that atrophy.

lol, both MJ and Kobe were washed at that point. LeBron is still in his prime (tail end).

Not about missing the playoffs. Its more like he is the reason the teams spirit fell apart.. Magic make a dumb arse trade as well but I would say its mostly Lebrons fault for hurting the psyche of Laker players.. Especially Kuzma who has been off both offensively and defensively in the past week or two..

When you're the greatest of all time, you're held to a different standard sadly.

Kobe never had this level of expectations(to make the playoffs every single year of his career once he gets their the 1st time) on him because he was never on that(g.o.a.t) level.

But Jordan took a bunch of 2 year vacations to rest his body so nah bruh nice try
Revolutions around the sun is worse than perceived time off.

He was playing baseball during his first retirement anyway. NBA mileage isn’t worse than age.

Age dictates how the body responds to stress and physical activity. Especially in a young man’s sport like basketball.

Especially given all the plays on offense, and defense that LeBron just takes off standing around. The guy hasn’t played defense in four to five years. He plays for box score numbers.

Also, being out of shape and not playing is worse than staying in shape while playing.

Let's address shall we?

2003,Feb Mike turned 40 years old. Took 98-99, 99-00, 00-01 off (3 full years) and was playing with a bad knee. Already won 6 rings - no one thought he was "the old Mike" anymore.

2016 - Kobe was 37 going on 38 that August in his 20th year (already had 5 chips too).

2018 - Lebron was 33 for the first 3 months of the season. Everyone said Lebron was the "best he's ever been" just a few short months ago when he beat up on the weak east 1st 3 rounders.

No one, anywhere, thought 40 year old Jordan and 37 year old Kobe were within 1-3 years of "the best they've ever been".

THEY weren't on TV saying "I'm activating playoff mode" and "that made me the goat" etc. They still continued to play because they WERE COMPETITORS (Mike donated his 2001-2002 NBA salary to the 9/11 victims, remember?

Any more questions? I have some time tonight to further explain.

I have a hard time believing Simon actually believes in his own bullshit. Some of the "reasons" he's made for putting LeBron over Jordan are so far-reaching that it's ridiculous.

Stern rigged the league for MJ, let him take steroids as well as let him bet on his own games.

Lebron only gets 1 of those luxuries...

Jordan was only in his 14th and 15th season yet he missed the playoffs, LeBron made the Finals in his 14th and 15th season :oldlol:

Kobe missed the playoffs from 2013-2016 (34-37 years old) and he only had 47,000 minutes on his body, LeBron has 55,000 minutes of wear and tear.

Both Jordan and Kobe had far less mileage in terms of minutes compared to LeBron, yet they both failed miserably and missed the playoffs for multiple seasons :confusedshrug:
too easy :oldlol:

I kinda wanted to give you a point with the "Mileage" thingy. But it's actually BS.

But honestly bro It's time for you to sleep :sleeping Before you sleep go on youtube and watch some of LeBron's videos dominating the Leastern conference. Just to help you avoid the nightmares when go to bed, little boy.

Retard logic alert. What did each do @ age 34? LeGed is *still* in his 0th college year. Fck outta here.
You must be in your early 20's / late teens and not realize the vast gap from age 34-40. I'm 45 and every year gets much worse.

By your logic Jordan was cryogenically frozen when he wasn't playing in the NBA? First 3 years he played college, then baseball. I'm sure he worked out regularly from the fall of 98-summer of 2001 - otherwise he'd be 350 pounds.

Years alive >>>> years in the league. Guess you're going to avoid my other points like the plague? I'll break it down for you - LBJ is saying he's still the best - and not even getting to the playoffs in the west. Kobe and Mike weren't their last 2 years were they? :facepalm

MJ was 40 years old and Kobe was back playing from what shouldve been a career ending injury? LeBron has no excuse other than he joined a team that is talented but wasnt ready, but problem with that is he his level if effort has been very subpar
