Kobe was allowed to grow under Shaq.

Shaq covered up a ton of Kobe's bad decisions and constant forced shots. And YES Kobe did benefit tremendously from Shaq's defensive attention. It's an exaggeration and lie to claim Shaq always got doubled or Kobe only got single coverage, but Kobe never got the same attention that other wing stars received. As it was, Kobe's fg% and decision making was bad to horrible.

Sure, some Kobe fans will point out to a few games in which he played good without Shaq. But still fail to realize that 'overall' Kobe shot a bad percentage and made horrible decisions.
