Bruce Bowen

Harrison Barnes

Shawn Marion

This is legitimately a hilarious list because even though he beat Kevin Durant and Kawhi Leonard, they turned around and beat him and won FMVP over him in his prime no less.

I don't even hate or dislike the guy but when you sit down and actually write something like this out it can give you a nice little chuckle.

He's never prevented anyone of note of winning anything because he turns around and loses to the very same players/teams that he beats once they rematch him.

Not quite. LeBron stopped Derrick Rose from winning FMVP in 2011 because I feel the Bulls were going to beat the Mavericks that year. He also prevented Durant from winning in 2012 (obviously). He also prevented Kawhi in 2013. And...who knows in 2016. Maybe Curry? Probably Curry.

I narrowed it down to forwards but I do think the Bulls would have matched up well against the Mavs.

He stopped Kawhi in 2013 only to turn around and lose and give up FMVP to him in 2014.

Same with Durant. Beat him in 2012 when he had a superior team then Durant comes back with a better team and beats him twice and wins FMVP both times. If he wins another one then he'll be tied with Lebron in both rings and FMVPs. Crazy.

Curry isn't a forward but he couldn't stop Curry from winning a championship.

In fact Lebron hasn't stopped any noteworthy player from winning a championship.

But was 2014 really his fault with a declining/aging Wade and blood clot Bosh? 2011 was an ultimate fail though, but Dirk isn't a SF so that doesn't really "fit' this weird thread agenda.

It's not like they were swept. They beat the Spurs in Game 2 and were going back home to retake home court advantage.

Then Pop told Kawhi to "take over" and the Spurs never looked back.

The washed up Mavs took the same Spurs team to 7 games that year iirc in the first round.

Sometimes it's about match ups and a lot of times it's about effort. During that Finals series after Game 3 the Heat looked defeated. Lebron and Wade were visibly distraught in Game 4 and Game 5 then we add in the infamous "cramps" and it starts to get embarrassing.

Lebron is known for making excuses whenever he loses. That elbow shit he pulled was a comedy routine. Then the cramps, then the hand injury.....

I don't want to rag on him too hard because I'm more or less indifferent about him but following his career has been very entertaining to say the least.

It wasn't as self-destructive and obsessive as me being a life long MJ hater but I was younger back then. Once my life picked up I had to let my hate go.

2012 OKC was favored with their 3 All-NBA players which included the league Blocks leader and runner-up DPOY. Then add 6MOTY to that list of players.

Yes, Durant came back with a better team in 2017 and 18 than OKC had in 2012 with a total of 4 All-NBA players that included DPOY and the 2 leading 3pt shooters in the league.

2 titles (soon to be 3) that nobody recognizes / respects.

Kobe let his direct assignment (Jason Terry) shoot 58% from the field, 68% from 3pt land and a TS% of 75% in the 4gm sweep.

The Heat were better than the Thunder. That's just a fact. The Thunder's issue has always been a big hole at SG and PF. They had players like Nick Collision coming off of the bench.

Don't mistake people wanting the Heat to lose with them being "underdogs".

Doesn't matter how you view his titles/FMVPs. He still got them, and the Bay Area respects them. That's all that matters.

Nah bro, Dirk > Drexler
Why

Drexler's 2nd place MVP vs MJ > Dirk's MVP

Drexler has more of everything except 1 gift-ring via the goat choke

Drexler = better scorer, passer, defender = better .. carried teams better - 26 ppg vs bad boys and MJ/Pip

All Dirk has is 0-2 in the Finals like Drexler and another choke vs Baron Davis... (edit: Dirk won in 11' via choke, so 1-1 in Finals)

Why did you pretend that you believed Dirk was 0-2 in the Finals? You really think anyone is going to believe you didn't know he won in 2011 over the player you obsess over literally every single day? That's just weird bruh :lol

Sure, why not. LeBron is still exclusive.

Who else beat KD in the Finals? No one.
Who else beat Kawhi in the Finals? No one.
Who else beat Duncan in the Finals? No one.
King James

Few things that stand out...

1) All these players have played better teams on their way to beating Lebron in the finals

2) Duncan and Kawhi beat Lebron by the 2nd largest margin in NBA finals history.

3) KD beat Lebron by the largest margin in NBA finals history.

Dirk only has a ring because lebron choked - we all know that

Take away the choke, and Dirk is 0-2 with no fmvp, just like Drexler

Except drexler is still a better scorer, passer and defender, while averaging 26 against the bad boys and MJ, and almost beating MJ for 92' MVP... That's better than Dirk... :confusedshrug:.. Dirk is actually big choker (see baron davis)

It'd be horrible and embarrassing for anyone to hand this many FMVP to direct opponents.

It's not even just that he loses...he literally hands over the FMVP too hahahah

So not only does he put his own stats ahead of the team...he also let's his opponent ball out.

There's a clear reason this guy has lost so many finals.

Lebron lost to the greatest players and deepest teams in history. Jordan played absolutely no talent at his opposition, easy to win defensive player in a league where Danny Ainge is a multi-time champion and All Star.

Sorry Jordanstans, spamming crossovers in a single coverage era to blow by Jeff Hornacek and dunk on Greg sister tag does not make you the GOAT

Lebron played with Shaq who won league mvp and 3 finals mvp's and lost in round 2. Lebron played with Peak Duncan who had won 2 league mvp's and 3 finals mvp's and won bronze medal. Lebron played with Peak Wade who won finals mvp and got outplayed by Jason Terry. Lebron played with Derrick Rose who won mvp under age 30 which was the same as Kevin Durant who won mvp under 30 while both were on Golden State and Cleveland. Lebron played with mulitple PER leaders as well and now Russell Westbrook a league mvp winner and more triple doubles than Oscar Robertson. Yet despite all of that Lebron lost with all of them.

http://www.insidehoops.com/forum/showthread.php?500416-Why-did-Pelinka-surround-Lebron-with-a-bullshit-roster
He has peak Anthony Davis, the best player on the 2020 squad and the reason the Lakers did anything as the 2019 Lakers missed the playoffs and 2021 Lakers lost in round 1 when AD wasn't around. He has Prime Melo who won a scoring title and all time leader in scoring for the Olympics. He has Dwight Howard a 3x DPOY and a guy who beat Lebron without HCA. He has Westbrook who is the modern day Oscar Robertson and also won league mvp along with average a Triple Double 4 years in a row. He also has Rondo who is a hall of famer.

Why didn't he play it against Dwight Howard in 2009 when Dwight was dominating http://www.insidehoops.com/forum/showthread.php?459570-How-is-it-even-possible-to-lose-to-Dwight-Howard-in-a-series-with-HCA/page10? Or against Duncan or KG or Dirk? Why did he run away from KD a guy at his position?

Tmac lost to Utah in 2007 while Lebron was losing to a career loser in Dwight Howard and also Carlos Arroyo in the Olympics with peak Tim Duncan on his squad despite playing more minutes than Hakeem even played on the 1996 Olympic team.
