Coming off a 30 and 11 output last night in a losing effort against Dallas, KAT puts up a 27 point, 27 rebound performance against NOLA.

Also, winners of 4 of their past 5.

That's the biggest thing. He's been forgotten by a lot of casual fans, but not by people actually involved in the industry, because other bigs this year have made massive leaps in their development while KAT hasn't improved at the same rate.

Not all people improve at the same rate and to write off a 22 year old who has already made an all-nba team is silly...especially when he IS making real progress in every area. The only area he hasn't made any progress is PnR on defense. He might just be the worst PnR defending in the league but at least all the other areas of defense have made noticeable improvements. Plus he always starts every season slow. Check out the month by month.

Since the Butler trade:

23.5 ppg on 51.1%/36.6%/80%
13.3 rpg
3.3 apg
1 spg
1.8 bpg
+5.3

In the last 10 games:

27.5 ppg on 53.1%/37.8%/76.9%
16.6 rpg
4 apg
1 spg
3 bpg
+11.9

117.1 ORTG
100 DRTG (best on team)
+17.1 NETRTG

:biggums:

No one has blocked more shots in the league than KAT has since the start of December. There's still hope for KAT figuring it out on defense.

It's a nice thought but what does it have to do with reality?
