I'll get ripped for this, but, honestly, I have no desire to see him go back. At the end of the day, Miami didn't want him. Or at least they wanted Durant, whom they never had a chance at, and Whiteside more. And unless you can envision any roster with Whiteside but without Wade that gets you past the Cavs during the LeBron-era, then prioritizing Whiteside over Wade was a mistake.

When Wade left, I think I took it harder than a lot of native Floridian fans, because he and that jersey were one in my mind. But, now I want the final chapter of his career to be establishing a legacy as the second best Bulls' SG ever. It shouldn't be hard. They've never really had anyone else at that position.

However, if he leaves the Bulls at some point, then he should go back to the Heat. Because I definitely don't want to see him wind up his career as a vagabond free agent.
