His midrange should be pretty crisp when he shakes off the rust.

I hope he makes it. But the guy has had serious injuries dating all the way back to Kansas. That's 3 years straight of injuries.

I wont believe he will ever make it until he proves me wrong.

20 MPG and maybe 50-60 games tops is my prediction for this year.

I'm a big fan of his game and the Sixers' strategy. I hope he works out and things start to turn this year. They have a ton of talent.

You know I feel like we have this conversation with problematic players every few years. This is almost the same convo about Oden and many others before that.


You tell people the reality and they sit back and say "lol u just being a hater"




No stupid. No one wants to see a player that can't overcome injuries. You can keep showing videos where he's dunking. His or any others before him never were questioned about their skill level. But merely the rigors of an entire NBA season on his body. That'll be the real test here. After awhile you do break down even as a normal able bodied player. Let's see what happens here.

I don't think there's a single Sixers fan putting the future of the franchise on Embiid's shoulders. I would assume that's why they kept Okafor.

While I'm not yet willing to deem him Oden level (who seemed just have chronically bad knees), I don't see a problem with us fans being hopeful about a young player that shows a lot of promise.

I'm assuming he'll start out around 10-12 MPG and increase about 5 minutes around every 20 games.
By the end of the season if he's consistently playing 25 MPG for the last 20 or so games I think that'll exceed expectations.

I'd say Anthony Davis maybe, because of defense, but Embiid has a far higher ceiling offensively. He already looks more skilled than AD and he hasn't even played yet.

I think what makes Embiid intrigueing is the skillset but also his size and frame. The guy is huge. He's literally bigger than AD and a little bigger than Town.

He's probably a half step slower than AD but right on par with KAT while being bigger. He's a true center sized prospect that can anchor a defense and score on the low block.

Still just 21, but skys the limit if he can last this season...
