If one of them becomes the Warrior's clear best player, wins 2-3 titles as the man/FMVP's they'd certainly have an argument
Serious question.
Kobe won 2 titles with Gasol as his 2nd option. Only Hakeem has won with less help.

Not gonna happen.
Durant is already way too far into his career. Amazing player obviously, but has always been 2nd best.
Kobe, love him or hate him, was the best player in the NBA for a few years.
As for Curry - he is a glorified role-player. Nothing but Steve Kerr with more athleticism.
If one of them becomes the Warrior's clear best player, wins 2-3 titles as the man/FMVP's they'd certainly have an argument
Not over Kobe since he won with Gasol as his 2nd option. You could argue that Gasol would be the 5th best player on the Warriors. Durant would have a case over Bird since he played with 3 other studs too- DJ, McHale, and Parish.

So is it a real thing with Kobe stans that going through the average West and beating the Magic/Celtics is the second best individual run of all time?

It's embarrassing how little respect you kobe stans give Gasol...and just plain absurd the way you completely gloss over Odom's contributions.

Why don't you shut the f*ck up?
Your hero choked in the finals and nobody cares what you have to say.
However, Gasol still hit the game winner to win a series off Kobe's brick and saved Kobe in game 7 of the finals with 19 points and 18 rebounds, along with Metta dropping 20.

Bosh's Finals Game 7 was better tbh

Gasol on the Grizzlies was inferior to Raptors Bosh and T Wolves Love. That stats back it up. Odom was just an inconsistent role player.

So Pau would be the 5th current All-NBA player to round out the 2017 GSW starting line-up?

In 2015 Curry put on one of the most clutch performances in Finals history
Most 4th Quarter Points during the Finals
1995 Shaquille O'Neal 11.5
2000 Shaquille O'Neal 11.5 (61.1% TS)
2015 Stephen Curry 10.8 (75.1% TS)
1997 Michael Jordan 10.7 (55.1% TS)
1998 Michael Jordan 10.6 (50.6% TS)
2011 Dirk Nowitzki 10.3 (68.0% TS)
1993 Michael Jordan 10.3
In the 2016 Finals he was not able to play as well as he did in 2015
What happened in 2016 that didn't happen in 2015? The major MCL injury
http://i.ytimg.com/vi/m_8DziMFB8s/0.jpg
The time table for return of an MCL sprain is 2 to 4 weeks.
(Keep in mind that healing timetable is for every day activity, nothing more strenuous than walking up one flight of stairs, NOT playing professional basketball)
Stephen Curry returned from the injury after only 2 weeks because the Warriors were struggling against Portland without him.
Stephen Curry re-aggravated his knee injury by coming back too early and then playing 40+ minutes of playoff basketball plus overtime in his record setting performance against Portland.
Therefore we can conclude that Curry's MCL injury was the differentiating factor which lowered Curry's production
So is it a real thing with Kobe stans that going through the average West and beating the Magic/Celtics is the second best individual run of all time?
He beat the Spurs 4-1 in 2008.

To which you can just reply to with...
In 2016 Curry put up one of the worst finals performances by a MVP of all time
22.6 PPG, 4.9 TRB, 3.7 APG
17 Points in Game 7, the biggest game of his career.
This is what he looked like trying to guard Kyrie
http://i.ytimg.com/vi/m_8DziMFB8s/0.jpg
Therefore we can conclude that Curry is a choking loser

You're just mad ZVC can't beat LeBron without LeBron's team being injured and/or getting saved by a better player than himself :lol (that's why he needs Durant and the MOST STACKED TEAM EVER just to have a chance against LBJ).

Honestly, I don't think Curry/KD can really surpass kobe. It's a 73 win team adding the 3rd best player in the world... It's not like Kobe couldn't replicate championships being in the same place as those guys. I probably wouldn't consider any of KD/Curry's future rings to be as valid as any of Kobe's last 4, but it all depends on how it plays out.

If Garnett wasn't hurt Kobe has 4 rings and 1 FMVP.And if Perkins wasn't injured in 2010 or if the officiating wasn't suspect in the 4th quarter of the 2010 finals, Kobe has passed fmvps.
Heck even with all that, it should have been given to its rightful owner - Gasol:bowdown:

It's amusing how LeBron fans make Gasol out to be a "dominant" big man, yet Kyrie's 2016 finals was lightyears better than any finals performance Gasol could even dream of having. :lol
Then we have people saying Gasol's 19/18 performance in Game 7 "saved" Kobe, who put up 23/15.
And even then, we have people saying that Kendrick f*cking Perkins missing 1 game was the reason the Lakers won in 2010.
Ya'll dumb as f*ck.

There is nothing they can do. Simple.
Curry's name shouldnt even be on here. He has been good for 2 years. He is a great shooter, but a mediocre rebounder and passer. Not to mention a piss-poor defender. Hasnt had any memorable playoff moments. Like wtf, why is he even mentioned? Kobe is the superior basketball player in every way other than shooting 3s.
KD on the other hand lost his opportunity to crack the top 10 GOAT. No bitch belongs there. If he won a title in OKC, he would've skyrocketed on the rankings. But he's too mentally weak to be on there.
Please dont disrespect Kobe like this. Durant and Curry's name shouldnt even be near his. Maybe compare them to Reggie Miller?

KD 3 ring as FMVP and 1 MVP/scoring title
Curry 3 rings as FMVP
Both need the other to not win an FMVP during that run. ie need to be clear alpha
And either will be higher than Kobe.

Curry--already has the higher peak, but will need a ton more superstar seasons. very possible though.
Durant--personally think kobe had the better peak, but durant could certainly surpass it if he starts playing the type of amazing defense he displayed in the 2016 playoffs plus starts to play a ton of minutes at the four which would provide a ton of spacing obviously. that would make up for the significant difference between the two in terms of ball-handling/play-making. obviously needs plenty more longevity as well.

It's very unlikely that they will, but let's say one separates themself from the other like LeBron/Wade after their first season, and they're winning multiple titles and MVP's/FMVP's, believe me, you guys will change your stance saying it's impossible, they'll at the very least have an argument

Even IF that were true why does it matter? They still weren't all that good and weren't a real threat to the lakers.any of the Indiana teams would wreck the 2008 spurs who were pretty garbage that year. The lakers biggest threat the entire 3 year stretch was a nuggets team that any of Boston, Orlando or Cleveland would have swept.
It was one of the weakest conferences of all time in terms of lack of truly top contending teams for that 3 year stretch.

Don't think so mate. It was just that bad. Lebron took the 2008 Celtics to the final minute of a game 7. So did the Atlanta hawks while Kobe couldn't keep them from destroying him by 39 in a closeout game 6:lol
