He was solid all year. He used to run the 2nd unit much of the year; and it was clear his 2nd unit teammates trusted him to run the offense and get the ball movement going. Despite his age, he had incredible speed, and could routinely drive straight by his defender. A solid finisher too.

When I think about his selfless team-first collegial attitude, then I think of David West, I do wonder what kind of moves the Warriors are making and how it'll affect their culture. The Warriors were about "Strength in Numbers", their depth -- when you part company with the guys that made that slogan true, you are giving up something.

There was an expression I heard today that resonated with me about the need to have players with the right temperament to play team basketball -- to make the pie, you need the right ingredients. Barbossa definitely fit that bill.

Warriors? I like Barbosa and Rush as much as the next guy. But Iggy, McCaw, and Livingston will be fine. Maybe one more vet who'll take the minimum like Brian Roberts or Prigioni or Steve Blake.

I know Suns don't need another C. But how about Cousins for Bledsoe (though another thread said Knight would want to be traded since being relegated to bench)? Maybe get a 3rd team involved to take Tyson Chandler? Portland or Boston or even Cleveland?
